Nice bar with friendly and chatty staff, started off in Wasps Nest (owned by same people and just next door) but noone was inside serving so after a few minutes headed next door. Good selection of drinks. Sat outside in the sun. Nice and quiet and relaxing.

This used to be one of fave places to visit. However, tonight I was not impressed!!!The food was not as tasty as normal. The parmo tonight has loads of bland bechimel sauce, lack of cheese and a soggy bottom. The chips seemed burnt. The garlic came in a plastic takeaway container with lid instead of the normal small metal container. The staff didn’t seem to know what was on tap when we asked them. Not all drinks are displayed on the board, so might be worth a check in Wasps nest before going in. A few were off for line cleaning on a Saturday night which we thought was a bit strange. Think they were quite new as we hadn’t seen any of them in when we have visited for drinks recently.Drink prices are also not the cheapest. It was not our best experience here tonight at all.

Friendly, small bar with large number of options many beers on tap from throughout the world. Burgers were amazing, a compliment I don't give lightly. Clientele were local and unpretentious. An hidden gem.

Been here before and found the food good. However the food was not the best on this occasion onion rings greesy, no pizza and the vegetarian take on a burger was underwhelming. The Korean style cauliflower was however amazing.

Beautiful hidden gem in stockton. Food is excellent! Atmosphere nice and relaxing. We had a late lunch here and chose to share a few starters and a side dish in stead of ordering main dishes. We had the most amazing Korean flavoured cauliflower wings with kimchi, I cannot recommend this dish enough, the flavours are amazing. We also shared a scotch egg which was delicious! And a portion of topped chips! All staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful, lovely place to be.

One of the best places I have been in a long long time. Staff extremely friendly and made us feel so comfortable! Enjoyed the beer, the food was amazing and I cannot wait to get back! The best pub in Teesside let alone Stockton, love it!

Absolutely loved the food here. Fantastic burger, best chips I've ever had and the ice cream sandwich was delicious. Even the little pots of sauce were delicious. Cute, quirky little bar with nice staff.

"Hope and Union" is a somewhat quirky pub/restaurant that we loved. I had corn fed chicken which was moist and succulent. It was a presented on a tasty bed of salad. In my humble opinion this eatery is worth a visit for what I call, their unique selling point, the toilet art experience. However the loos were clean and tidy. I photographed the loos and loved the art. The ambiance is neo industrial and has a fabulous stark element. Google will take you to. The service was very friendly and efficient. We will be back.

Great food and atmosphere but couldn't recommend to people with allergens or dietary requirements. 3.5 out of 5Food was amazing but unfortunately even though we checked several times there was a mistake in our order (no bacon on the burger). We were the first food orders of the day so the kitchen shouldn't have too been busy yet. We were given assurances that the burger was bacon free when it was served but my sister opened it up and checked so thankfully she didn't eat any of the burger. It meant me and my sister shared one meal while we waited about 20 minutes for a new burger and we had a toddler with us who was very hungry. Nothing was done to compensate us for the error unfortunately which leaves a bad taste in your mouth. We loved the food here - juicy flavourful burgers and well seasoned generous portion of chips. Halloumi with chilli jam was delicious but a bit measly at 3 pieces - 4 pieces would make it a nice sharer for 2 people. The heaters were great and outdoor setup was amazing with cover and sandwiched between two buildings. Our server, the Asian lady, was really kind and lovely.Social distancing wasn't great - we were sat right next to people, and while we didn't mind (we are both vaccinated) they were clearly uncomfortable.Booking is easy using their online system and requires a deposit to be paid (we paid £20 for two people).Sadly we couldn't recommend the place to any of our friends with allergies or specific dietary requirements given our experience. Mistakes should be handled better - money off the bill or something complimentary. My sister was really upset as apparently no bacon is often an issue when she eats out, but she was expecting better from hope and Union.

I've been here twice, once for brunch and once for lunch. Both times were lovely, the food is really tasty, when I had brunch I had like an egg and chorizo dish which I really liked. When I came for lunch I had the blackened cod tacos with the pulled pork loaded fries, my partner had the minted lamb burger with the ham loaded fries, the food was delicious and the staff were really attentive. The lunch was post lockdown so there was a QR code to scan to assist with track and trace and there was hand sanitizer when you went in so it has good Covid-19 measures.
