Nando's in Stockton-on-Tees

They got the order wrong. The chicken was terrible, nothing like i have had before. I am a regular at nandos all over the country. But this is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a nandos. The food was shocking. The place looks a mess and very dirty.

Went on a Thursday evening around 6pm...at least 20 empty tables but were told a half hour wait for them as people said they were coming back...we chose to eat outside as we were there anyway and in all the time we were there maybe 6 tables were filled...shocking really...

We didn't enjoy our meal. The chicken in the burger and wrap was warm and we're sure it should have been hot like the chips. We could have mentioned it when they asked but the waiter rushed in to take our table number when asking if all ok and kept moving away theycwere busy but I've seen it busier previously. We hadn't been since before the pandemic so couldn't remember if this was standard. Sorry we won't be rushing back.

So the this particular restaurant was full (half empty) so we had to wait 20 mins. Got the text and me and the kids went back. Place is good for kids but unpopular opinion coming, Nando’s is over rated. The staff were ok not rude but not overly polite, food is always ok but for the money you can get other places with ok food for less.

A fairly typical but busy Nando's. The queuing system brought in for COVID is fine in summer but in Winter, in an outdoor shopping centre, all you can do is wait in your car. The food was the typical Nando's fayre.

Starting with the good bits, friendly staff, welcoming restaurant with a nice aesthetic. I went in for a collection, firstly food was not ready for collection time, secondly they missed 3 items from my order, adding up to over £15 wasted, thirdly they mixed up the drinks I ordered and gave the wrong ones. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, I think just a bit disorganised. 2 star due to paying £50 and left unsatisfied and hungry after meal due to literally half missing. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Nice ambience as usual as in any Nandos. However, they do not sell halal food. You might want to go to Middlesborough is you eat halal.

Boneless chicken thighs, piri salt chips, saucey spinach, chicken wings, coleslaw spicy rice and chilli jam 😍 couldn't fault the food or the service, had a very pleasant evening and lovely tasty food, thank you Nando's. Credit to the staff helpful, prompt, polite and friendly. I will definitely be returning
