Has Roberts changed hands? Used to be excellent but last two times, soggy batter and luke warm chips. Fish was dry even though I waited for it to be freshly cooked.Used to get a slice of lemon too but that also stopped some time ago.Over priced for the quality, I'm afraid I will not be going back again.

What has happened to this Fish & Chip shop??? Portion size has shrunk the fish doesn't taste fresh and the chips are anemic. I've been going for 8 years and it has been constantly good but that has unfortunately changed. Any suggestions for a better chip shop would be greatly recived.

Horrible greasy food,with black scabby rotten chips mixed in with fresh chips,and don't know how this has a five star food hygiene rating either,the place looks greasy and smells greasy aswell.Apparently this was taken over 2 weeks ago,and was an amazing chippy,by the previous owners,they need to buy it back if thats the case£4.50 on food i wouldn't give my dog

Large cod is consistently very good. Peas are a bit hit and miss, but we really go there for the fish. Hot, white, and beautifully cooked.

Absolutely delicious, had the large fish with Chops. Fish was like a whale, really tasty.

Lovely fish and chips, nice light crispy batter, my favourite. Plus served in a box which means the batter is still nice and crispy when you get home.

Best cod l have ever had. Whitby 2nd plaice. We have used Roberts for a few years and it always provides consistant big tasty cod. Beat it if you can....
