First time in this pub, greeted by very friendly staff, pub was very clean and not an overwhelming atmosphere. Sat and ordered food which came in good time, basic food prepared very well indeed.Decent selection of beers too......Definitely be back!!

Nice steak. Cheap beer. Good selection of food and drink. Nice pub atmosphere, you can have a quiet meal in the restaurant or watch the match with a lively bunch in the bar.

Does a nice pint, the food leaves a lot to be desired... I feel like the staff would agree as they have no issue scranning on a pot noodle in full view of customers.

We asked for the meat to be well done and was almost raw meat inside, we asked for the drinks without ice anc came with ice and the chicken was with a lot of oil.

Great food with some excellent deals on price. Love that it has different areas that means you can find a quieter corner for a talk. Good atmosphere and very efficient and friendly staff

Lovely family meal, plenty of dishes to choose from, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend and will definitely go back soon.

Food great bar choice great busy time not so great. Town pub food on an outstanding scale ( never had a bad Meal) this pub is lovely but I could do with one more staff just to take orders and run the bar, other than that it's perfectReally not blowing the sun up the know what but with one more person it would be brilliant. Chef well done 👏

Probably deserves 3.5 stars. Pub is one of the better ones in Thornaby.Covid rules are being followed, we were asked to download the track and trace app before entering. We ordered the drinks and lunch through the Greene King app. The drinks took around 10 mins to arrive and the food followed about 10-15 mins after that. Food was ok, the sweetcorn was very juicy. Everything was cooked well, the meal would have benefited if the chips were home made. Staff were courteous but going through the motions with the exception of the guy who was in the door welcoming and seating people. He had a personality about him. The staff did come round twice enquiring if the food was ok, which it was.All in all the pub is quite nice. It was lovely to sit outside in the sun, the tables and parasols looked quite new and it felt like there was plenty of space around us. The bill for two drinks and two meals was just under £25.

Great food at great prices. Nice selection and drinks available. Friendly staff making the place feel like a family home. Can get busy and noisy at weekends. Big screen TV for sports in the bar area plus a pool table. Nice family seating areas in the lounge with TVs also. Tables can be reserved in advance. The chef certainly knows how I like my steak.

Nice place and atmosphere. Relatively busy when we visited but managed to find a table ok.Plenty of staff working so only a short wait at the bar.Good selection of drinks.Good menu with plenty of choice.Challenge burger and ribs ordered with 25% off on a Friday. Burger was nice, ribs were ok more of a quantity than quality.Overall a decent visit.
