The Fox Covert in Stockton-on-Tees

Booked a table for the only early-ish available slot on a Saturday evening. The host was welcome to see us and we were seated quickly. The drinks, food and service was all of very good quality and most importantly we weren't given too much of a fuss. 3 courses for two was just over £60 and I deeply regret not swapping the potatoes served my Chicken Jo Jo for their home made chips. I appreciated that all deserts could be served with whichever accompaniment of custard, cream or ice cream as quite often I enjoy hot puddings with cold custard, please don't judge me for that. Good, honest pub grub with an inviting atmosphere, on my doorstep - I don't think I'd change anything, thank you folks!

Lovely meals. Went for a birthday lunch and was not disappointed. Nice pub Good environment and good meals at decent prices. Went to this pub 25 years ago when we lived up there. Returned now 25 years later. It's done itself proud.

Visited this evening on the evening of Mother’s Day, staff brilliant and found us a table straight away. Food was probably the best I have tasted for a long time, Parmo was sublime. Can’t fault this place thanks to all the staff 👏🏼

The staff were really friendly and the place had a great atmosphere. We both had a bite to eat and it was good! We will be going back to try the breakfast and a Sunday dinner.I recommend to book if you were going for an evening meal or Sunday dinner. We went in afternoon and stayed until early evening. By the time we left it was really busy.

Really nice interior, very cosy and lots of seating. Staff are friendly and attentive. They cater for vegans and will be able to let you know what is/isn't suitable. Decent car park.

18th Birthday meal. Absolutely first class service! And the food arrived nice & hot as were the plates. Everyone had a little different off the menu. 5* service all round.

Good food and service quite noisy when we were there

Tuesday night about 19:00, we walked in and there were plenty of tables to choose from. Drinks were ordered from the table once we were seated and arrived 5 mins later.From the menu we chose veggie lasagna, chicken curry and a side of onion rings. This took around 25 mins to arrive and it looked home made perhaps with the exception of the chips. Both meals were good and I've never had a bad meal in this place. If I had one complaint it would be that there wasn't quite enough curry. We need science to devise the perfect curry to chips and rice ratio 😜Staff were attentive and friendly, the bill for 4 pints of Moretti and two meals was £43. The pub is nice inside and out, plenty of flowers on display in the beer garden. Plenty of parking, Covid rules being followed too.
