There are a couple of different rooms so you can always find one that's quiet enough for you to have a conversation without having to shout at each other

Another of Norton's not so hidden gems, with multiple rooms (TV room, in main bar area, a small quiet room just across from main bar and a larger room to the rear of the establishment) also smoking area with tables to the rear. Not a "modern" bar, more of a backstreet pub feel to it. With friendly staff and clientele, reasonably priced drinks, what's not to like?

Beer and lager were of a good quality. Staff friendly and efficient. Always busy which normally tells you it's a good pub.

Good atmosphere but needs updating

Ordered a few times and every time it has been disgusting (home delivery. Don't do it!) I hate leaving bad reviews as I know how badly businesses suffer, but the food is appalling. Every time we've ordered all 4 of us have been unable to eat more than a couple of mouth fulls. The veg isn't al dente it is totally raw. Every time. The chicken feels like I'm chewing on rubber. The whole meal has been literally disgusting every time we've ordered. I like to give a business a few chances before reviewing but it's literally like they don't give one. The only thing missing is salmonella which is the only thing I'll give them credit for.

Great pub, great atmosphere and most importantly great beer. Plenty of bars in norton now but this is a absolute gem. Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Had a lovely evening the atmosphere was great. It was our first time in the pub and we will definitely be back.

Brilliant pub used it for years, and previous Saturday was extra special, as watched Middlesbrough gain promotion to the premier league. Great atmosphere and service.
