Great food

Last time I was here the food was outstanding. ffwd a year & I called by 30 minutes before close to be told by the owner there was nothing left & the fryer was off. Gave them a 2nd go tonight & called in at tea time & order fish n chips. Got told it would be a few minutes as the fryer was off ???(its tea time). Got food home & it’s gone downhill faster than a sumo on a downhill mountain bike.Chips, although plentiful, were like rubber, fish batter was like a poor students pot noodle and curry sauce was freshly scooped from the River Tees.Even the dog struggled on his sausage as the batter was rock hard.Business proudly displays 5 star certificates but I’m at a loss to see how.

Best fish I’ve had in years... lightly coated in batter. Which means you get all fish instead of a plate full of batter with hardly any fish inside . Fish us always freshly cooked while you wait... reasonably priced. The small fish is huge

Don’t bother going after 8:45pm our you will be told there closed even though there advertise closing time 9:30 PM.

Fish are hugh friendly staff and good prices food is excellent.
