Great food and nice time out. Probably the best Parmo I had in months. The staff were so nice and cooperative.

Popped in last night when walking the dog as the WhatPub website said it was dog friendly. It's not dog friendly. New ownership has meant dogs are not welcome; even kids are frowned upon. They do serve a lovely organic lager though. Had to sit outside with Basil (my lurcher) in the cold to drink it.I think I'll wander down to Yarm centre instead, next time. Plenty of dog friendly pubs down there. And they don't take card payments either.

Not a huuuuuge fan of this pub, its okay. But I just don't like the idea of a no tech pub. No music. No phones. No loud voices. Meh

·

Nice place with good selection of drinks. Only issue they only accept cash and there are no cash points nearby. We only had a tenner on us so we only stayed for a pint and then walked into centre of Yarm for more drinks in places that accepted card.

good atmosphere & environment nice place to beer very good fish & chips

Dead canny local. It's how pubs used to be - more sociable and a lot cheaper than others in Yarm. It's also pretty handy for the railway station.

·

Excellent. We were only in for something to eat and a couple of drinks. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, delivered quickly and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

·

Really friendly staff and customers. Good range of inexpensive beers and spirits. There is a decent 'local pub' atmosphere, which is great if you are new to the area and looking for somewhere welcoming to get to know people. This pub has a great location. You've just got to remember that the entrance is not on the main road.

Great friendly atmosphere. Staff are lovely and welcoming. food is definitely worth a try. Outside seating for those warm summer evenings and cosy coal fires inside for those frosty winter days.

One of my favourite pubs in the area - Sam Smiths pub, so the prices are extremely reasonable (though drinks choices are limited). Food is great value, and the staff are always very friendly and efficient. The bar is dog-friendly and there's a good garden area outside. No music/TV etc so it's a pub like a pub should be - for socialising and relaxing.
