I am allergic to onions and as i travel for work I frequent weatherspoons because I know I can eat safely. I went to tonight with my family. I ordered an ultimate burger meal with no onion, as I do frequently. It usually comes with no onion rings and no burger sauce. When my meal arrived tonight it had onion rings and burger sauce. I asked the waiter if the sauce definitely had no onions as it usually does and she said, no its just a type of mayo. I wanted to triple check (the chef- the waiter - another waiter) so I asked another member of staff who took me to the allergen board and confirmed that the mayo does in fact contain onion. So I was given 2 types of onion on a meal that I requested without onion. I was then advised by a member of staff that there was no onion in the burger sauce. I was not offered a replacement, i just had to swap a burger and bun with my husband so I didn't eat any onion. I spoke to the manager and explained what had happened. He blamed me for not reading the allergen board. I told him I had asked for no onion in my meal because I know there were removable onion components in what I ordered. He was unapologetic and clearly held me responsible despite the fact that i had asked specifically for no onions. His behaviour was disgusting. I am actually appalled at what happened, if I had not checked the burger contents and just bitten in to the burger, or I had believed the waiter I would have had a potentially dangerous allergic reaction. The staff in this pub need to be educated in customer service and telling the truth even if that means responding to a question with I don't know. Giving people food containing allergens when they specifically ask for food without it is a serious matter and should be treated as such. I won't be returning to this restaurant but will still use other Weatherspoons.

Food is cheap and quick. Recommend for a quick bite to eat after shopping etc.

·

Good pub grub at brilliant prices and real ale. Only issue a bit noisy and dark where our table was.

Food is excellent Millie loved her pizza Sarah loved her chicken bites and I enjoyed my curry

Have always enjoyed the food here, today was very disappointing everything was over cooked on both meals ordered. Left 75% of my food, when mentioned. Oh sorry about that. On your birthday as well 😩

Always know what your getting with Spoon's and that's not a bad thing...cheap and cheerful and definitely value for money..staff work really hard and it's a nice roomy pub...will definitely visit again...

The food was great but made to feel unwelcome being a dad picking up his kids for the weekend and treating them to a meal on the way home. At around 8:30pm a member of staff kept walking near to the table looking at the table and checking their watch in plain site. I think Toby is much more friendly place
