The Stottie Company in Stockton-on-Tees

Like this little cafe. The staff are always lovely and it has a good selection of foods to take away or eat in. It's offering is clearly aimed at the passing traveler with the option of eating in, in comfortable surroundings. The coffee is not the greatest but its good. The apple crumble I had today was really nice.

I popped in the station cafe for what I thought was going to be the perfect sandwich just as a snack, but I was wrong the beef in my sandwich was that thin I could see Christmas though it no taste all the salad I wouldn't give it to a rabbit the coffee came and it was the wrong one I didn't have the time to complain as I had a train to catch. I will never go anywhere near this cafe again. What I joke this cafe is I've been a chef for over 40 years and I would be ashamed if I served what I was served.

Good service, good bacon sandwich and nice, fresh coffee.

8:20 on a Monday morning and there’re few options for a cold breakfast and no hot or cold vegan options at all. Staff said they do have a vegan wrap but it’s gone. A guy in front got a bacon sarnie and it looked pitiful. Electing for a large black coffee, surely that’ll be okay? Nope … it was the weakest coffee I’ve had and if I was to guess I’d say a small scoop of instant with half a litre of boiling water (have a look at the picture). If I were you, get something before you get to the train station and if you think this is unfair, read the rest of my reviews - I do score fairly.

Disappointing very thin, weak, flavour-free black coffee. Won't be bothering here again.

Lovely homemade food.The staff super friendly. The spicy chicken stottie was delicious, homemade chips fantastic. Lovely atmosphere,a hidden gem in Middlesbrough Railway Station.

I had a chocolate brownie (£1.70) after asking the guy behind the counter which was better and he was correct. The brownie was delicious and such good value especially for an in- station location. Cold drinks are 10p cheaper than the drink machines also!

Just received a delicious grilled gluten free melt and hot chocolate from the lovely people here. I was very panicky for my train as me being last minute decided to get food 3 minute before the train came and when it came I had anxiety in case I missed the train but the lady let us get on the train then bring the food and drinks to us just in a nick of time and wished us a nice tripThank you so much for your hospitality and delicious food!

Came here purely to kill 3 hours of waiting and left wanting to return.Initially bought a medium coconut latte - Gorgeous! and decent sized, looked more like a large.Decided to have a BBQ pulled pork burger after a little while, best and most jam-packed burger I have ever had a definitely worth the money! - Mouthwatering.Staff were really friendly and helpful, made you feel really relaxed and at home.
