The Talpore in Stockton-on-Tees

Very friendly staff, working really hard to get all the orders out. Outside seating very nice. Meal enjoyable. You get what you pay for but enjoyable nonetheless. Drinks very reasonable. Good offers.

Ridiculously slow service, part of meal missing and steak cooked opposite to how it was asked to be. Spoke to the on duty manager who removed 2 meals from the bill but wasn’t very apologetic. Wish I’d looked at the previous reviews before visiting. What was supposed to be a fairly quick lunch turned into a 2 hour visit, £50 lighter and still hungry. We did get given a 25% off voucher to use on our next visit…..we left this on the table as we won’t be returning!

Nice, family friendly restaurant. Good service, good value for good food. We ordered 1 starter and 3 mains, plus 1 alcoholic drink and 1 juice for £62.

Food was really good. Recommend the pulled beef nachos for starters, very tasty. Catered for a gluten intolerant member of our party without fuss. Only slight issue was the time to get drinks was a little slow. Service was friendly and professional.

The food is mediocre, there's not a lot of vegetarian options and the veg in the roasted vegetable linguine did not taste great or fresh to be honest.The Vegetarian options just keep on lacking. They scrapped the chilli non carne and now only have cannelloni and a vegan burger. I get that its a steakhouse but alienating a whole group of people is a bit silly

Hit the spot as always. Lovely fish 🐟 and chips 🍟. Nice crispy batter and not covered in oil. It's on my list of places to return to! Continent it is next to the Tees white water kayaking facility.

Pre booking in advance is recommended.Great views to the river. Tables outside and inside as well.They have extended menu such as breakfast, starters, sides, burgers, grill, fish and chips, desserts and steaks...Fast and friendly service. You won't be disappointed.Good quality /price.

Came here for breakfast as we were staying at the Premier Hotel. Bit of a disappointment. The hit food was lovely and plenty of it, spoke with the breakfast chef who was very nice. The table we sat at was sticky could have done with a clean cloth wipe, the carpet was covered in food from the previous evening. The long table with the cold drinks,toaster, cereals etc was dripping wet with spilt drinks, the usual appliance to toast had broke so an ordinary toaster was being used but didn't toast at all. Couldn't find the tea making facilities! and there was no on to ask.Spoke to some of the staff and found out they were under staffed due to covid. They spoke highly of their restaurant manager who was obviously over worked. At £9.50 ahead for breakfast, this is something that needs to be addressed by the owners asap!

The Talpore offers a continental as well as a standard breakfast offer where you can select from a massive range of options. There was suitable social distancing and helpful service. You are not rushed from your seats which is a nice change in the current situation.
