Toby Carvery in Stockton-on-Tees

The queue was a bit long but the staff were working hard to get everybody served as quickly as possible. The two chefs who were serving were lovely and friendly and we did have some banter with them. The food as usual was top notch although I would like to see a bit more veg variety....parsnip cabbage turnip. We had a 50% off mains voucher and I can't imagine a more value for money meal anywhere else

Upon arriving without having booked we were told it would be a 45 minute wait and so sat with drinks in anticipation of what was to come, we had only sat for approximately 15 minutes before being shown to our table whereupon we enjoyed a delicious carvery meal. Everything about it was beautifully cooked and served and we're looking forward to going again very soon!

It was for Sunday dinner for a group of friends.The venue was very busy - a good sign as popularity normally equates with returning customers.We ordered drinks. I wanted carbonated mineral water, but had to settle for still as there wasn't any carbonated.All 7 in the party had the Carvery and a pudding. The queue at the Carvery was long, but moved quite quickly.Food was good. I've been to a few Toby Carveries, but this was equal top for quality of food along with one in Sunderland.The waitress was efficient and quick without being curt - despite how busy it was.Puddings arrived quite quickly and were tasty (one of the party wanted the raspberry sorbet, but it wasn't available, but there was an orange sorbet replacement).Everyone was impressed with the dinner.

"Laura new" was very friendly. The chefs were very helpful and welcoming.A little more space at the vegetable area would be good as it's a squeeze when there's more than one person there. There's a great choice of veg. The child's carvery only got one small slice which wasn't enough for my five year old and so she had all mine as well. A small Fizzy drink option would be good for a child. She drinks less than half a pint but it was £3.35 which is very poor value and it encourages us to try to get our "moneys worth". The roast potatoes in dripping are amazing. The meat is lovely and tender.

We’ve been here several times, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast and the traditional roast meals are always delicious and offer outstanding value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great food. Excellent value and service.

Gave only three stars because felt the place is letting itself down. Looks well dated now in desperate need of a revamp. Ran out early of some meats for carvery which should NEVER happen in a carvery. Staff got them a third star as they polite and helpful but hope its back to five stars soon. Not been in a while and won't be rushing back unless it's changed.🙄

Excellent food, staff very friendly and helpful. Always busy, that in itself tells you an awful lot about the quality of food and service.Would recommend this place very highly.

Stayed to rapid charge car. Just popped in for a quick bite. Service was brilliant. Bar staff friendly and talkative. Clean, well ran carvery. Will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely beautiful carvery! Plenty choice of meats. It caters for everyone of all ages. I left happy with a full belly and well taken care of. Will definitely be returning!

Booked table for the past Sunday, understand it would be busy as at peak time. However it was so over crowded. Long wait for food. When we got food my daughters carvery had multiple long black hairs in. All of us we’re out off our food. Manager did take the price of her food off our bill. However we won’t be returning.
