We spent a lovely evening here for a birthday celebration. Attentive staff, warm friendly atmosphere and of course scrumptious food. We’ll definitely be returning in the near future.

This is such a great family run restaurant.The surroundings, service and food are all top notch.We had the sheer delight to be served all night by the owners daughter. A woman with a near perfect attitude and manner. Her great service really added to what was a lovely night for us and a busy night for them.Top marks.

Not a fault! We always visit when we are in the area as we know we will have a great meal and experience! Its been a while but we revisited tonight and it was again a fantastic meal. The food is exquisite, the staff are friendly and professional, the setting is cosy,and relaxing, what more do you want!

We have visited this restaurant several times,today again Angelo's produced an outstanding beautiful meal we called in for our lunchFor starters we both had mozzarella prosciutto, this was beautifully presented and tasted deliciousOur main course i had penne vodka and salmone this tasted delicious and well presented, my husband had penne boscaiola which was also delicious.The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very professional, well dressed and polite.We had a rose wine which was lovely and went well with the pasta ,the meal was excellent value for money and we will definitely visit again.Best Italian restaurant in Sunderland.

We came on a Thursday night and we were able to get a table quickly. Service was really good and the food is worth every penny and more. The rack of lamb they served is the most delicious one I ate and will reorder it when I come back. Awesome!

Stunning fine Italian cuisine. This little gem is hidden in a quiet and pleasant part of Sunderland. We have now had the pleasure of both lunch and dinner meals. Both times the food was unrivalled in quality and flavour. As soon as you look at the menu you can be sure you are in for a treat. Angelo's is the only restaurant I know of that serves pasta dishes with just as much variety as the other main dishes. I highly recommend the strozzapreti pasta either with the puttanesca sauce or the salsicce & friarelli. (Award winning also)Bellisimo!

Me and a friend of mine stopped for a dinner and the bruschetta and pasta was delicious. It was only two of us at the restaurant as it was an early dinner. We also tried some Italian larger beer that was quite good I thought. Staff was all Italian and they were very warm and welcoming.
