Bombay Barn in Sunderland

When our favourite Indian takeaway 'star tandoori' closed down we thought we'd never find another near as good. But my God, Bombay Barn is absolutely UNREAL. We ordered a plain medium curry with Saag Aloo, chips, onion bhaji and keema naan. It was all perfect. The tikka chicken is properly marinated and tasted good quality. Everything was bursting with flavour. Love the hint of corriander in the curry. Looks like we've found a new favourite Indian takeaway!

Absolutely the best takeaway in the North east if not further a field. We've had various items from the menu and can't decide which is the best, probably because they all are. Burgers are phenomenal, curry wraps omg I've had jalfriezi, dopiaza and chilli and garlic all fantastic. Pizzas where do I start I don't know how they do it but their pizza bases are light soft yet with a lovely crust. long discussions every time we order because it's so difficult to choose but definitely a burger every order thank you Bombay barn. Oh and chunky chips wow.

After seeing countless great reviews of this place I thought we'd give it a go and it was meh. For an Indian I was expecting plenty of flavour but it was no better than something you'd get out of a jar!Expected more from somewhere that charges as much as it does. Won't be returning.

Clearly some people like thus place, including some of my own family. Personally, it thought the food was disgusting, verging on inedible. The grease oozing from the burger turned my stomach, and the chips were like cardboard. Sorry, but not for me.

Absolutely beautiful currys & wraps now, the curry wraps are amazing.Meats always tender & lovely service.

Food was beautiful my partner rang up first time and the lovely woman on the phone went through each recipe and ingredients to see what was gluten free and I actually found a kebab and mixed chicken I could have first in 2 year as I have coliacs so finding a kebab takeaway was quite difficult this place I would definitely recommend the food is delicious ordered twice from here now never been disappointed yet.

Beautiful Food once again tonight highly recommended indians.... see you again in 2022

Had Indian last week absolutely beautiful. My brother has treated us to pizza chicken Kiev chips and garlic lovely . Would 100% recommend.

Worst takeaway we’ve ever had. Meals tasteless, kurma unappetising, poppadoms greasy. No garlic in garlic Nan & wrong rice received. Poor value for money, would not order from here again.

Had the Indian pizzas recommended to us by a friend and they didn’t disappoint! Choose any curry and then have that as your pizza topping - genius! Definitely be back 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
