Older blonde woman handing out the orders is extremely rude. Basically told me to go away while I was waiting for a drink she missed off our order (I was waiting there because I thought she was getting it as she gave me the other three drinks) then handed me a lukewarm drink from the side that I think was from an old order no one collected as it wasnât hot and had milk in it which I hadnât asked for. We also ordered scones, cups of water, two breakfasts and a panini. One of the breakfast orders came out wrong and the panini box had 3 short black hairs in it, we didnât even bother telling the woman hading out the order since she was so rude and didnât think sheâd do anything about it. The scones still werenât ready after our cooked food was out and when we asked the woman about it she sighed and handed over two cups of water which were already sitting in the kitchen ( why not just hand them to us when we were getting our first 4 drinks or our breakfasts?). The scones came out 5 minutes later and all they had done was put them onto a plate with butter and jam. Honestly wouldnât have minded the wait for the food or the mistake with the breakfast if the woman shouting out the orders wasnât so rude towards us. Having to listen out for someone screaming out an order number isnât great considering the price of the food especially when the woman calling it out is rude and wonât let you wait for your order within earshot of her (even though it was literally just me and one other woman standing there- I wasnât holding up a line).

Make sure you check the prices and what you are charged I bought a dog sausage and a cookie and was charged ÂŁ6.25 did not realise till after the place was closed so rang up next day, basically to be told by the person who had served me that I could be saying anything.Usually very good service but on this occasion not so good đ

Went today on a friendâs recommendation. Having checked opening times I parked on Seaburn seafront and paid the ÂŁ3:50 charge in case we were over an hour. When we got to the door at 2:55 the place was closed. I rang them to ask why they were closed and the lady seemed very perturbed by my question and explained that they were not busy so decided to close. I would like the opportunity to upsticks and leave early from my job when itâs quiet. If youâre telling your customers you close at four then close at four. Wonât be back, sorry.

Great friendly place We stopped off after a walk along the beach. The Funky Beach Cafe was busy but managed to get a seat inside. I ordered the standard breakfast and the wife ordered poached eggs on toast which was served quickly and hot which both of us enjoyed with a lovely over looking the Beach. The staff where hard working and friendly and a credit to the Funky Beach Cafe.
