MarinaVista Ristorante in Sunderland

We visited the Marina Vista for the first time today.Standards of food, decor and service were very high.The young lady that served my wife and myself couldn't have been more helpful.Food was terrific.Most of the time when I look at restaurant menus, at least half of the offerings are quite uninspiring. Not so here.The menu has been very thoughtfully produced ....... I would gladly try any of the options.Would we go back? ... Absolutely Yes. In fact we booked a table for next week before we left today.Very impressed 🙂

My family and I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the Marina Vista restaurant, lovely setting and ambience with wonderful views. The food was delicious and the hospitality very welcoming and attentive, can't wait for my next visit...

Booked as a last attempt to get into a italians on a Saturday evening and was eager to try since we live around the corner. When mains arrived I noticed my pasta had no sauce in which I told staff that I be told “yeah it’s just a very thin sauce” so thin it didn’t exist on my plate 😂 our lasses pizza could have been used for discus in the olympics it was that crusty and hard. Absolutely disgusting will never return

I reviewed this restaurant in 2020 when I last came, and I loved the food, but the peak times meant that we had a long wait...We came back today (Feb 2022), on a Saturday evening which I was expecting to be peak time crowds, but it wasn't overly packed or too loud. The staff were lovely as always. The food came super fast; I loved my Marina Vista Penne so much, my mother loved her pasta dish (the name escapes me), my daughter enjoyed her kids meal, and the biscoff cheesecake was to die for. The prices were very fair, especially for the quality of the food!I'm so happy we came back here and will definitely be coming back again!My review in 2020:I really enjoyed the food, however every course was upto 1 hour apart. I understand that it was peak times, so we waited patiently. Food was very tasty and nice, but my steak was a tad overdone. The gamberoni (pictured) was a little overdone as well, but still delicious! I'd return here for sure, I'd just try to avoid busy peak times.

Food was outstanding and service just as good. Adam has done us proud. One of our fave places to eat good well cooked seafood in Sunderland. Turbot was amazing.

Great Restaurant, lovely location looking over the Marina! Helpful and friendly staff, with a great scene of humour! Couldn't do enough for us! Will be there again soon as food and service amazing! Well deserved to all! 5 Stars! Dont hesitate to book!
