River Bar in Sunderland

Went for a drink on bank holiday Sunday, was awful, full of very young drinkers, who were shouting over the top of the music. Left after one drink.

Happy hour and Sunday prices for some lovely cocktails are amazing!

Great pub, lots of TV screens for sports fans. Wide selection of drinks and cocktails. Good atmosphere. Would go again. 👍

Lovely but busy bar, DJ playing good tunes, welcoming doormen and all the staff very pleasant and nothing was a bother, good deals on cocktails, buy one get one free, will definitely revisit this bar

On arrival we were told they didn't have a booking for us, even though we'd paid a deposit, and sent us to a nearby Italian restaurant. Then, when we returned, we endured slow service, average food, and they then refused to honour the website offer- Tuesday 50% off

Beautiful food as always, the tables are separated with perspex - our waitress was very helpful and attentive - we love to visit this place, the food is always so tasty!

Staff were really friendly, food was nice. The jelly bean cocktail (first picture) was lovely. £7.50. Cocktails not too badly priced would definitley go back for a drink.

Real hotspot on a Friday and Saturday night, and can be super busy at times. Serves a fantastic selection of drinks and cocktails and is probably the most upper class bar on the strip but attracts a lot of young folk when it turns into a mini nightclub on a night. Really great pub food served downstairs and has a restaurant named Fiume upstairs which is really smart and has fantastic reputation for great food and service. Not only that it is located in a fantastic part of fatfield right on the river banks so you can enjoy a pint outside looking over the water and bridge. Overall would reccomend highly and if your looking to visit at quieter times maybe visit on a week night.

Set meals were not worth it. Had to pay 2pound extra for chicken in peppercorn sauce main meal yet chicken was only slightly bigger than an egg. Service wasn't great. Kids waited over 30mins to get 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with no toppings. Think they went to go buy it for the time we waited.
