Sorrento Restaurant in Sunderland

This is the worst Italian food I have ever had garlic bread way over cooked and dry, chicken alla creama was disgusting the sauce yellow!! I get that it has mustard in but that’s all you could taste And again cold , very friendly staff until you complain and then they were totally rude all talking at the bar about us and kept looking over with a very frosty reception from then …. Will never return here

By far the worst Italians I have ever had I would give 0 stars if I could the starters came out with stale bread and pizza dough seemed to be frozen not fresh on both the garlic bread and the pizza I had for a main the wife’s lasagna looked and tasted like a microwave dish bland and no taste don’t know if they were having a off night reading the other reviews but I will defo not be going back to visit again

Good food and we had a gd member of staff looking after us didnt get her name but she was graet with my grandaughter

Food great..starters ..mussels with white wine were perfect..black pud and pepper sauce was great...perfect meat feast pizza..and pasta dish was great...nice atmosphere and staff fantastic....this was busy Saturday night for pre theatre meal ..only advice is book..(we did) they didn't have walk-in space when we were there...nice problem to have

Italian restaurant and cousins at its finest! We enjoyed everything to the last crunch. Will definitely go there anytime I'm in Sunderland.

Lovely Italian restaurant right in the heart of Sunderland. Good selection of wines and beers, food is excellent and very good size portions. Staff are friendly and helpful which makes the experience enjoyable. Will definitely be back again soon.

Friendly staff, decent prices, quick service. Food was ok. Potato skins were too thick, tomato based sauces were ok, meatballs were quite good. Can't really complain overall but wouldn't recommend either, was just ok.
