Awful. Drab dowdy. Couldn't even get a coffee as I was driving. I've later heard it is to be bought out and demolished for housing developers. Shame as in it's heyday was known for it's fine dining.

Absolutely fantastic meal. Waitress was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble - I wish I'd got her name. Back off to Kent now but will definitely return when come up to visit dad again. Thank you 🍽🥂

Last minute decision to try here as had been given duff info from a staff !Amber at another lovely eatery re not needing to book. Delighted that they did. Staff were great, nothing a bother. Lovely great big front garden with facilities for the kids to run about, climbing frames etc. 3 starterz , 3 mains an additional garlic bread n cheese ,all cooked to perfection. As we were outside grabbing the final rays of sunshine on not only the final day of August but also the last EOTHO 50% offer all dishes were served together rather than starters first etc.including 2 pints of cider a shandy & a soft drink it's was £32. Not a scrap left on any plate. The lightness of touch of cooking was very evident for us all. The difference of restaurant quality food served from a pub. Will 100% be back. Looking forward to it already. Bellisimo.

Ordered a Sunday Lunch to be delivered to my elderly father. I was late in ordering it as it was a last minute thought..Meal was delivered at 12.15,Lady i spoke to on phone was very helpful and even offered an early delivery even though they were fully booked for the early deliveries.Meal was hot and plenty of it.My father was very impressed, he said it was really tasty, and the delivery guy was very pleasant. 10 out of 10Thanks for the prompt service, will definitely order again

I have been many many times previously and have had no complaints in fact most was delicious but this visit was uncomfortable from the beginning. Unwelcoming young girl behind the bar looking and talking to me like u was dirt, meal was so disappointing insipid coloured steak rubbish presentation literally left the second we had finished. All sorts of different people going in and out of the kitchen. I can only assume there are different chefs and bar staff.. definitely not returning

Went for Sunday Lunch, for my mothers 75th Birthday, 26 of us went, plus regulars for Sunday Lunch, and it was great.. Staff were so friendly and food was great.

Just what the doctor ordered for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Was lovely back in June. But a recent visit has shown standards with food have slipped. Chicken in pasta dish was frozen not fresh and the carbonara wasn't the tastiest. Cake was very dry. Shame as it was lovely on last visit. Hopefully just a bar day.

Had food today at The Cavalier x food was amazing, chicken with king prawns and salmon and lobster sauce, friend had chicken in peppercorn sauce with added chilli both home made chips.Ended with chocolate fudge cake and cheesecake with pouring cream.Bonus when the final bill came and it was 50% off main meals!Service from the ladies was excellent too.10/10
