Really Friendly Staff. I had a glass of wine...the glass it came in was Immaculately Clean, Properly Cleaned not out of a dishwasher & drained, left to dry & all marked. My mother worked in Pubs all her working life & the way these clean glasses came...she would have given the staff a pat on the back......Trivial, I know to some....but it's great to see something of a 'Proper Job'. The bar has a Great Choice of Real Ales & the place has a lot of Character....'Old Pub' Style & Clean..

One of the best pubs in town, beers regularly changed and kept perfectly.

Haven't been in for a long time but on a visit yesterday I was so relieved the Edwardian interior was still there and obviously well cared for.

Great pub, beer very good! There's also games...scrabble, cards, dominoes etc which is a nice touch!

The building itself took my breath away. I love visiting old pubs. Had few drinks with my group of walkers/runners and really enjoyed being at the pub. The staff behind the bar was quite friendly as well.
