First time food lovely, the last three times food cold and apparently this is a common complaint. Please if you served your food hot you would receive a 10/10. Do better.

I hadn't been in here before the refurb so no idea on what changes may have happened.Seems like a pretty standard Spoons.Cheap and reliable.

Lovely, hot and tasty meal here. We had a mini feast. 😃 We don't come from the north east so to us it seemed like the staff were quite cool and reserved towards us but not rude. I think maybe it's just how they are in these parts. I think each area has it's own personality that needs a respect and acceptance that's all. Thanks all at the cooper rose.👍

Me and my wife had breakfast here on Tuesday it was not good, the sausage is horrible the bacon was dry the plates were cold yhe only good things was the beans and toast. Never again. Plenty of other places for breakfast. Can't understand really as the main meals are normal pretty good.

Went on the new roof garden and it was really nice. However, plates of unfinished food was left by staff for too long. This resulted in seagulls coming down and snatching the food once diners had moved.

Recently had a breakfast here with several other people. The breakfast was nice, but it took them a good while to get the order correct, repeatedly bringing the orders out incomplete, with one member of our party having to just do with what they’d been given. Whilst we were waiting it became apparent that many other customers were experiencing the same level of service, complaining about their orders. Would not recommend.

First time I have been in since the refurbishment. I understand there will also be a roof top Beer garden which will be a nice addition. The interior now looks lovely as does the arrangement downstairs. Food was lovely, hot and didn't take too long. We only intended to stay for a quick drink but noticed they had Leffe Blonde on draft a favourite of my partners so we stayed for another and had food. Pleasant atmosphere as well.

Had dinner and 2 breakfasts when we were staying in Sunderland. Meals were very nice and service very good. Prices amazing. Would recommend if you're looking for good value for money

Absolute joke. Staff are rude, drinks are a knockoff and bouncers are aggressive. Mate got grabbed by the neck and dragged out for no reason. First time I came here, everyone got their food early whilst I was made to wait up to 30 minutes. Another time I came here I asked for no ice in a cocktail pitcher. The bar staff only filled the jug half way up and when asked if she could at least fill it with lemonade I was told it would charge more! Overall terrible service, watered down drinks and unpleasant staff.

Used to absolutely love it here. Went last week and it’s just not the same, it was busy and we were told it will take around 15 minutes for our food which we understood however it come within 5 minutes. The hunters chicken was like to steak to cut through and the chicken wrap was slimey chicken rather than crispy chicken
