Lacks air conditioning, not normally a problem but it was a very hot day. Other than that an excellent meal deal, staff very friendly and helpful. I had made a request on booking and this was obliged.

Greeting staff seemed distracted when we arrived and we were left a little confused about what was happening. We ordered drinks and went to the Carvery only to be extremely disappointed to learn that roast beef would not be available for another hour. We should have been informed of this on arrival and definitely before getting up to the Carvery. As beef was the main reason I booked the table in the first place, I ended up with a no meat Carvery. £10.50 for a plate of veg is not good value in my opinion. There are many other dining options available locally so I’m afraid I won’t be coming back any time soon.

Thanks to the hard working staff who were lovely and helpful despite being utterly rushed off their feet with jam-packed diners. There were some rather rude customers who were angry at how busy it was, which isn't the staff's fault. I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who works there, and I'm sorry some customers weren't as appreciative of their efforts. Beautiful food to boot. 😋

The waitress she was happy helped us with everything she was so friendly helped my 92 year old grandad with carrying his plate so thoughtful and helpful talked to my 10 year and 13 year old we couldn’t have ask. The energy she has is unbelievable and just lifts the room she made my dads birthday so special what a loverly lady she’s a credit to your pub/restaurant worked well with her colleagues

A Beautiful Carvery with so much choice of Meats and Veg and a dessert for £9.99 per person. Absolute fantastic value for money. Staff friendly and efficient.

We were there this morning 27th May for breakfast at approximately 9am. What a great disappointment that was. The food was absolutely abysmal, the sausages were hard to get in to and dry inside, the potato mix was dry and not easy to get out of the bowl, the hash browns were soft and sloppy, the eggs although had just come from the kitchen looked liked they had just been thrown in the dish. I went for toast to find no butter or tongs for the bread resulting in people using their hands on all of the bread. I asked for some tongs to use and the staff member seemed surprised that I wanted them. All in all a disastrous experience. I’ve been to the lunch Carvery and breakfast before and never ever had a complaint. We had visitors from Australia and I kept telling them how impressed they would be with the food, but not today as it was sheer embarrassment.

Gammon was delicious and so was my beef the host could have smiled a bit she really didn’t want to be there however our server made up for her and was amazing. Didn’t have sticky toffee pudding and for a pregnant woman I was devastated but I had jam sponge my 6 month old loved the mash and gravy and the jam sponge. Finally I would say make sure gravy topped up servers asked 3 times for gravy by the time it was replenished my lunch was getting cold I don’t like cold roast. All in all I enjoyed my food and it was great to catch up with my friends and family and my baby loved it

Great place to eat and drink, and the carvery is my favorite. The food is all high quality and tastes delicious, and can't be beaten for £7.99 each. Would highly recommend it😊

Never been to this Toby but u have been to Washington and cleadon. When I went in the staff were really good didn't catch their names but a man on the bar and the woman on host were really really kind and helpful. Made the process so easy and they had good banter and a friendly face. Definitely going back!

Went to the Barnes and as usual, the service is great and the atmosphere is always great. I was particularly impressed by the friendly nature of Jamie H who took the time to talk to me and she made me feel extremely welcome. It's lovely to see a friendly new face to the team.
