The Stables in Sunderland

It is not as good as before the Covid lockdown. The menu is smaller the price is more and fewer staff. It use to be our favourite place for food so for us it was a little let down. THE biggest problem with this place the locals come first. And most of them are just drinkers in like us who spend more on food and drink. We will go back again but not for a while.....we use to go every week before.....

Food was unreal . Sat in the very small dog area with our dog 🐕 ❤️. Lovely cosy little place

We make a point of visiting The Stables every time we travel up north to visit family. Beautiful pub. Very reasonable prices and excellent food. The staff are also very friendly.

Food was delicious and presented well, just a little slow in arriving. Maybe an Easter weekend effect. Service was friendly and professional, making sure you have everything.

Always great food, fantastic value and friendly staff. Dog friendly room works for us. My wife calls it our happy place.

We sat outside as the dogs were scruffy, but inside was lovely when I went in and the food looked amazing. Staff were friendly and it is a clearly popular pub. The beer selection is pretty shocking though. No premium lager, a very average ‘American IPA’ (its not!) and a couple of bland hand pulls. We will be back to try the food.

This pub is a little gem - cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food is really tasty and beautifully presented (pic shows pan fried salmon fillet with lime and chilli risotto).

Lovely place for food and drink. Really quirky old feel with charecter inside. Food was very good, nice quality and the staff where friendly. Would recommend people to visit. We be going back.
