Great selection at the buffet breakfast. However:Not sure bacon and potatoes mixed is a good idea as it limits the choice for vegetarians, as bacon is already on the menu it seems pointless.Give it a try. Not bad value, the food is good quality and well prepared, nice ambiance and the staff very polite.

Never been to this Toby but u have been to Washington and cleadon. When I went in the staff were really good didn't catch their names but a man on the bar and the woman on host were really really kind and helpful. Made the process so easy and they had good banter and a friendly face. Definitely going back!

Went to the Barnes and as usual, the service is great and the atmosphere is always great. I was particularly impressed by the friendly nature of Jamie H who took the time to talk to me and she made me feel extremely welcome. It's lovely to see a friendly new face to the team.

This is convenient for us as we live close by, been a few times but thought yesterday's visit was a bit down on previous ones.It was around 17:30, not overly busy, but still had to wait at the desk for quite a while, none of the staff who were close by acknowledged us, until I presume the supervisor spotted us. The wait at the carvery was again longer than we expected, the chef who finally appeared seemed harassed and wasn't very pleasant

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit today. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with welcoming friendly staff. Emma T was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble, an asset to the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

Service was great and staff was great but was not impressed with my meal. I had the carvery but the beef was more than half fat which really surprised me cos other times i have been it has been perfect. Needless to say i wont be returning in a hurry

Went for breakfast for the first time since lockdown. Improvements are that they make scrambled egg to order now and bring it to the table on request saving it from going rubbery on the deck. They use named brand items such as tea & coffee (which are refillable) and Lurpack butter.Negatives were they ran out of tomato's (as in none in the restaurant not just none on the deck)- not a massive deal but we prefer them to beans and the sausages weren't really to our taste, lots of people seemed to be leaving them. The old sausages were better in our opinion. Plus the toast machine was only working on one side and needed around 3-4 passes per side to get anything other than warm bread. The queue for the toast was bigger than the queue for the deck. But all in all it was ok, everyone left relatively full but I think we'll be trying another all you can eat breakfast next time.

Had voucher for 50%off food.we took my friend who has Parkinson's. The young girls were so helpful but getting my friends walking unit in and out of the place was very difficult because the paving is bobbled. The food was very good and we will always return for the carvery voucher or not.

Had Christmas Day carvery today. Welcomed in & greeted by staff, shown to table, very well organised, staff super friendly. Food was cooked well, only niggle was that it could have been a little hotter. Overall a positive experience so would return again for Christmas Day. Thanks to the team for looking after our guests.

Always loved a Toby but today, I'm really not sure what happened with the place. It was scruffy, food all over the floor and all round the veg. It wasn't busy. The veg looked like it had been there all day with no change and we went tea time. The gravy was really thick and lumpy and I put it all over my dinner, it certainly wasn't the famous Toby gravy. The puddings and meat were fine, except turkey really really dry.No one looked like they really cared at all.It happened to be my birthday today and totally gutted we chose to come here, felt like a complete waste of money. It seemed the manager was doing a lot of the work so maybe under staffed but shouldn't let the quality of the food down. Really disappointed Toby!
