Top Of The Town in Antrim

This email is regarding my dinner service yesterday, I booked a table for 5 for Valentines and I must say the service I received was the worst ever, if I had to rate the staff service would be definitely 1/10 and we weren’t the only ones complaining about this, table to either side of us where complaining as well, please continue to read this email and I’ll explain in detail what happened.We arrived at 6.45 for our booking at 7 and the table wasn’t ready, that was fine for us so we had a drink in the bar, we were shown to our table around 7.10, sat down took our order everything was fine, 5 minutes after our drinks arrive, jar of water and 2 cokes what we ordered, few minutes another staff member brings down 2 more cokes and I say “we already got our drinks” the reply was “well now you can have 2 more” I said I didn’t want it cause by the time our first drink was finished the ice would’ve melted, so I say to take it back, staff then turned his back on me and walked away, I was mortified and embarrassed cause my parents are sitting at the table, so I had to calm them down.The starters arrived pretty quick and were unreal, congratulations to the chefs, but the issue was next waited 45 minutes for our mains, the roast was unreal the side veg was definitely not cooked and it was very crunchy and cold, felt like was poured into a bowl from a frozen bad and quickly heated up. 35 mins after we’ve finished our food, that’s when the waiters came and took our plates out, the restaurant was emptied at this time, and we had to be the ones to keep on getting their attention to grab our plates. As soon as they came to the table we instantly asked for the desert menu cause we had order the 3 course, another 25 mins waiting time, taking in mind while the staff were dancing and singing in the restaurant we were the only ones left, it got to one stage were I had to get up and say” can I cancel my desert order and pay” and the answer was” let me check with the kitchen” within seconds the deserts came out, so I just wanna say that the staff were more occupied with dancing and singing instead of looking after the customers, you can check cctv on the restaurant if you don’t believe what I’m saying, having spend £130 in this restaurant yesterday I truly believe based on the entire experience I would only rated it as £70, I usually leave tips for the staff and all, without surprise I didn’t cause this service was shocking, I’m just trying to tell the management about this issue and to give the staff a wake-up call, it’s without no regret that I say my last ever experience at top of the town, which is unfortunately has I’m come regularly to the restaurant.Kind regards,

Called in for lunch with no booking and they were able to take us no problem. Food was really good and well priced, also family friendly!

Really kind, helpful staff and cosy environment. Prices were very affordable, great food and a good selection of drinks.

Called into tott on Monday afternoon for something to eat the lady who showed us to our table was friendly enough . My daughter ordered a starter which came out with the two children's meals. The food they had was beautiful but after waiting a considerable time our two mains hadn't arrived my daughter said to a member of staff who didn't appear to enquire about our food. In the meantime a group of 8 and 4 came in when they're starters arrived my daughter went up and said to another member of staff who said the food would be out shortly. We arrived at approx 4pm and by 4.50 we had to leave as we were going to the winter wonderland for 5pm. Also one member of staff came and took one plate away leaving the other 2 sitting never spoke r made eye contact. Very disappointed which is a shame as the food we did have was lovely.

Lovely first time experience. I knew the top of the town before it got Renovated, lovely interior and food. Cheap enough cocktails, small but good selection though. 60quid for 2 people mains and a dessert to share with 2 cocktails.

First time visiting and will definitely be back. The food was incredible... The waghu burger was the best I've had, (the relish was amazing). The chicken goujons were delicious, and the others in my party thought the roast beef ciabatta and steak and Guinness pie were also very tasty. Plenty of parking available, great atmosphere in the restaurant and lovely, friendly staff. Booking is highly recommended.

Wonderful place! Good service, delicious cuisine (they offer all types of meals, lasagna, burgers, ribs and chicken wings, you name it, I totally suggest it!).There is a large covered garden, with the possibility of keeping a social distance, because of Covid. The staff observes all necessary measures.I am satisfied and I recommend! I would come again for sure!

The staff are really friendly and nice. Inside the restaurant seated area is lovely and well decorated. The food tasted nice.After the restaurant we moved to the beer garden and the atmosphere was amazing. You can order your drinks through the website by scanning the QR code. Drinks where not to expensive.The only issues I had with Top of The Town is that it took a while for are food to come. I also don't think my steak was worth £20. Overall I would recommend, especially the beer garden
