Booked for one weekday night for mum and I. Reception staff were lovely on arrival (read reviews to the contradictory and was nervous) but no reason to be! Room and bathroom were very clean and two sets of robes and slippers were waiting for us in the room. There was also tea and coffee equipment and a hair dryer.Ensure to make bookings for spa treatments as they book out very fast, as well as to use the thermal suite for 2 hours. I was quite surprised by the crowd at the thermal suite, I expected there to be fewer people. I guess things have to go back to a pre-covid era at some point.Had dinner at the village bar and grill, the salmon was lovely with an Asian spiced mash. I did think the crispy kale fried in butter was too rich and the dish could have done with fresh veg to balance the flavours. The apple crumble and ice cream were the best I've had since I can remember and I'd go back to eat that alone!Breakfast had a great selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheeses and a full fry! Thoroughly enjoyable stay. You can also walk down the 5 minute path to the beach. The waves and fresh air are really refreshing! A bonus to staying here that separates this spa from the rest.

At €270 for 1 night stay we had much higher expectations for Seafield Hotel. While the room was clean and spacious, the hotel itself just has no personality or character. The service was mediocre at best, it took 15 minutes to get our tea at breakfast not to mention there was an additional €4 charge for a cappuccino? All they have to do is froth milk and add it to an expresso. We attended a wedding and the fish we had at the meal was like a brick. Unless Seafield significantly reduce their prices to something that better reflects the experience you’re going to have, then we absolutely won’t be going back.

Had lovely break there for two nights.Really comfortable rooms, food lovely, staff are very helpful. Nice walk down to the beach. They have a spa with really nice pool. Very relaxing.

The spa is superb. The walk to the beach is wonderful. The cocktails and bar service quick and great quality. The dinner at the green room was to die for. We both ordered the pigeon and duck. Superb superb superb. The service by the cleaning staff, dining staff and spa staff was second to none.Finally. We had a complaint about front of house. Sharon instead of doing the usual thing of offering money off a bill did something far better. She assured us the rest of our stay would be what we expected and did everything she and her team could to ensure this promise was kept. She delivered.Thankyou to you Sharon and also your whole team.

Really fabulous. Staff were super attentive from the moment we arrived and the facilities were great. The outdoor heated pool is amazing. Will definitely be back again, next time I'll book more treatments and stay the night.

Unbelievably difficult to check in. Have been waiting to check in for 1.5hrs, since 2pm. have been brushed off by reception staff twice and told to wait till 4pm. But then we're expected to leave by 12pm.Absolute rip off!! €12 for a starter , same for desert. Water in the room was disgusting. We were given a room with broken bed on one side, we had to go to another room at 11 o'clock at night!! Service was not much better.Terrible experience. Avoid! This is a 3 star hotel with 5star badge and 5 star prices.

Disappointed but had a pleasant break - although that was mostly due to the Wexford beaches!Houses were comfortable but was VERY disappointed that they advertise as family friendly yet DO NOT allow children use the pool at all. When I asked about same the response was extremely clipped and I was told “they are family friendly because they allow children to come and have a play ground!!”.The children were very upset so we ended up swimming in a different local pool that allowed us book.I think they need to make it much clearer about what facilities are available to families!

2nd stay at Seafield and had a similarly disappointing experience. Reception staff were the most unfriendly and rude staff I have encountered in any hotel. Both women just kept repeating "check in is 3pm" as an answer to several questions with no follow up. I witnessed 2 other people making complaints while I was at reception and they were completely brushed off.The food in the bar and breakfast was average but expensive enough for what it was.The room was fine but the wall are like paper so you can hear ever sound from neighbours and the bathroom in room 118 made a lot of noise all through the night. Seemed like the pipes gurgled every time somebody in the hotel flushed a toilet. The spa was lovely and the absolute saving grace of our trip.Three housekeepers were stationed outside our room from 8.30 am chatting while waiting for rooms to be vacated.Overall we found the experience disappointing and at €270 for 1 night it's not cheap. We won't be going back for a third strike.

So we had booked in for a couple of nights and were a bit uneasy about what we’d find after having read some of the reviews on hereOn check-in the receptionist was beyond lovely; & for absolutely no reason she told us we didn’t have to check out until 1pm if we wanted on our final day, which was really a nice surpriseIt was because of this gesture we were able to have breakfast, use the pool AND pack to check-out without a hurry, so thank you for that!I’ve been at this hotel before and one of the only few negatives about it I would say is that they haven’t really done much to update it over the years. The bedroom itself was just average; no iron/ironing board; bathroom door was v.creaky & floor tiles had several chips in them. Major drawback was the absence of aircon & the room was like an inferno! We slept with the windows open. Not really what you’d expect from a 4-star hotelA running theme throughout the stay in all parts of the hotel was the lovely staff; no issue whatsoever with anyone anywhere. Can’t fault their treatment of usWe had a few cocktails at the bar. They were really, really well-presented but at their cost we were disappointed to find they barely tasted of any alcohol. We switched to wine after that. Breakfast was fine; we saw some reviews describing the staff to be disorganised but we didn’t experience that. We do recommend that if you’re wanting toast with your breakfast, be sure to ask for it as soon as you sit down because it has to be fetched separately in the back & the 1st morning it arrived after we had already finished eating. Also surprised in a 4 star hotel to find that barista-made coffees had a separate charge. We would've been more amiable to maybe paying a “supplement” for them perhaps, but not at full normal coffeeshop prices?I don’t really like them because they’re usually bland, but I saw on the menu that pancakes had a supplement charge? They’re just flour & eggs? I’ve stayed in numerous 4 star hotels & I’ve never seen anything on the menu asking for a supplement charge… there were no eggs made to order offered; just fried & scrambledPotato farls listed on the menu but nowhere to be seen (not that they were just out of them at the time; they just simply weren’t present at the counter)I would also say that it would be more in keeping of a 4 star hotel to leave it as a buffet-style help yourself kinda breakfast setup but there was an attendant serving us the hot food items. Didn’t make me feel comfortable to ask for seconds lolThe continental breakfast options were pretty goodThe Oceo Spa……. well well well. It was practically perfect. Decent-sized pool with permanently running jets in the corner of it; great for a water massage! Just across and outside was a giant jacuzzi - I think we probably spent most of our time in the pool out there to be honest! Such an experience with the contrast of the hot bubbly water with the freezing cold open air. It was extremely pleasant & relaxing!! Locker / changing room facilities nothing short of excellent- showers were perfect & they came with beautiful-smelling shampoos & body gels. A little machine-thingy to spin-dry your togs & then a plastic bag dispenser with bags to carry them back up to your room! Changing rooms had electronically locked units which are easy to use. If I lived near Gorey I wouldn’t hesitate to get a membership to this facility! & a shoutout to the spa staff who were really patient with us, trying to book specific treatments with them around their therapists’ availabilities (not all treatments are available at any given time slot; it depends on the actual therapist giving them)A warm thanks to Sharon for her unique Indian head massage! Very much enjoyed the spa experienceNote: the hotel in general has poor phone signal coverage so you do rely on the WiFi which did the job well! HOWEVER the spa isn’t equipped with WiFi so have your COVID certs etc. screenshotted in advance. Thank you Seafield!

Mainly chose this hotel for their spa treatments and it didn't disappoint. We couldn't book the treatments until the last minute but fortunately we got to book for all of us. The thermal suite was amazing and the whole black themed room was just perfect. The treatment rooms were cozy and the staff were amazing, very helpful. They recommended a well being spa and it was amazing. The relaxation room was even better and was given a sorbet and hot towel with a glass of water. We booked a three course dinner in their Green room restaurant. Food was pretty and almost felt bad to eat. Lol Well worth visiting this beautiful spa resort.
