Just had the most delicious lunch in this lovely restaurant- will definitely be back

We went to The lighthouse bistro late November for a birthday meal. The food was absolutely beautiful. I had Hake with seasonal vegetables and chips (their chips were gorgeous so fluffy inside). Hubby had steak with veg, mash potatoes and a lovely rich sauce. The service was great and the girls serving were very friendly. I was surprised with a voucher towards our next meal as a little something for my birthday. The only negative was where we were sitted by the kitchen door was very chilly but there was a lovely throw on my chair which I placed over my lap... problem solved. Definitely, would recommend this little bistro.

First time and definitely won't be my last! The girls are so lovely and nothing is too much trouble, food was gorgeous.

I’ve been here a few times now and love taking friends to experience the quality food and wine in intimate surroundings. Love the chowder and dark ale as an accompaniment.

1st time here and it's a hidden gem I'm so glad we found it! 100% the best seafood chowder I have ever ate! Customer service was perfect the guy that served us was really friendly and I hope his granddaughter enjoys her ice cream 🍦 🙂 will be back soon!

Last minute decision to eat here and it was very good. Menu mainly seafood based at lunch. Monkfish scampi and lobster bap both excellent. Friendly and willing service too.

Lovely lunch meal! Food was excellent and good selection of drinks. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Over a year ago very good when you could bring your own wine or beer. Unfortunately now waste of time and money, service disappointing to say the least. Stood at the door for very long time and no one around to say hello or being shown to set. Ordered beer to be informed have only one left 🤣 that's when I should have left. Then told have only two fish dish left. Come on what's happening!!! This is very unprofessional and very disappointed for over priced food, beer, wine and indeed service. Give me one year ago, not worth it and won't be back.

Lovely little bistro in the colourful and quiet little village of Whitehead. We were greeted by friendly and attentive staff and seated safely and socially distant from other diners. This place is clearly very popular and had a great atmosphere.It was obvious our food was prepared with passion and we enjoyed a delicious meal to mark the last night of our holiday. The seafood was excellent and perfect for the seaside setting.Couple of things note for anyone thinking of dining here:• BYOB - waiting on a liquor licence• There’s no vegan option• A lot of the fish options also contained meat so not great for pescatarians, although maybe this could be prepared without on request?*** wish I’d known there was a vegan menu, it wasn’t noted anywhere, why does it need to be separate? I usually eat a plant based diet and ate fish last night for the first time in years. Obviously my choice but would have good to have known all my options.

A lovely unique little bistro in the seaside village of Whitehead. Small and intimate, with contemporary art exhibits available to purchase displayed throughout, and plenty of moodlighting. Menu is lovely and prices are very reasonable! Would definitely revisit.😁👍 🦐 🥗🍲🍷🍺
