Cafe 55 Bistro in Coleraine

We called ahead and made a reservation. Requested a table by the window to look out onto the cove. Delicious food. The onion rings were nice and crispy. Great location next to the beach. Would recommend and eat here again.

Everyone else went to the local fry ups and joined the queue.We went to a quiet welcoming and efficient bistro where I got French toast and a medium latte. No queue, no crowd, no long wait. Beautiful view, over the Atlantic ocean from the east strand. Really set us up for a day of rest and relaxation

Lovley place overlooking beach we had mid morning snack of black pudding sausage roll which was delicious and coffee amazing views a beautiful spot highly recommend

We had our wedding reception at 55 Degrees North on 1st April and can’t recommend it highly enough. Our wedding was planned within 6 weeks due to a family illness and the staff bent over backwards to help make our day perfect. Managers Nicky and Stephen were amazing and helped in every way to organise the reception. Our wedding was amazing. About 80% of our guests travelled from England and they were blown away by the venue/food/service/staff/ hospitality. Nothing was too much for the staff. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a wedding venue. We loved everything about it. Thank you xx 💖

Food was delicious and good portions, however the service was quite poor in comparison to previous visits. Waiters were quite young, but quite brash and looked miserable as someone 'doing their job' but I wouldn't expect them to go that extra mile, that's the impression I got.

Amazing views but food wasn't as amazing unfortunately. We had the early bird menu. Had to return the starter of Gluten free garlic bread as it was inedible and saturated with fat and looked like fried bread. Would be better to serve the warm toast and garlic butter separately. Duck spring rolls lovely but surrounding cooked veg cold. Mains were better although the chilli chicken way too spicy 🔥. Rice was fragrant and beautiful. Sea bass lovely. Would come back for the views but not sure about the food. I would rather pay more and have better to food. Our waitress Dominica was excellent. Lots of very young staff who just stand around and don't approach customers to check if all is ok. Man at front door was not very friendly or welcoming and kept us waiting ages.

2 of us went in at 12.10 and seated at their wonderful galley view windows. Chowder ordered and it was absolutely delicious. 💯Unfortunately the double burger with pepper sauce and those stringy onions was v much not. Plain dry burger bun. 2 extremely thinly pressed burger meat, and small but plenty jug of sauce. 1coffee, 2 teas. Waited a while for order to be taken but service v good after that.

Beautiful cafe with a wonderful view. Very busy but where able to get a table. Had to wait about 10 minutes for our order which was fine and it was tasty. Toilets were very clean too and staff friendly.
