Food was passable. Ordered veg biriyani and saag aloo. The biriyani was goopy : probably the curry was mixed with the rice. Both dishes had giant pieces of potato, most likely because it was frozen. Or they wasted no effort in chopping it to a size fit for palatable consumption. I make a much better one-pot biriyani at home tbh. If this is what passes for Indian food around here then I feel for the folks who live here. Only positive was the food was reasonably priced for the quantity but then I just couldn’t finish either dish so is it really worth even the relatively lower price?

Hi my husband and I were here having a meal last night. It was the best curry that we have ever had. The taste, and all the spices were amazing. It was so good. We will definitely will be back. The service and staff was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The food served was not great, it was more of Tasteless. The food isn't worth the money which we paid. As indian I must say the food was not at all up to the quality. The mango lassi was tasted some turmeric milk. Avoid ordering mango lassi.

The food was good quality . Meat seemed Tk be cooked well ,but felt like colour has been used in the tandoori . I’m vegetarian I ordered Bhindi which was really bad . They had not cooked it that well and I did complain , but he just smiled and replied - it’s the chefs problem .Panner curry was made spice with chilli flakes .Naan and rice was good .

We ordered biryani but got a box of curry and rice mixed. Chicken used was frozen, not fresh and bland. Overall very disappointed and believe the area deserves a better Indian cuisine.

The food looked awful, it tasted even worse. An onion bhaji without any visible onions. A rogan josh with a pale, creamy sauce & zero flavour. The lamb had a sauce which tasted like liquorice & hot chilli combo. 90% of the meal was binned. The rice was, I suppose, edible that's the best I could say. It beggars belief that a restuarant that charges for this could make food so bad. Do yourself a favour and buy some microwave indian food from the local spar, it will be vastly tastier. Come on Saffron, do Portrush a favour & dont let people waste their time & hard earned money on garbage food.

On a visit from England to see our son and take in some sea air. Fancied a curry when his favourite eatery wasn’t serving food. We both went for Onion Bhaji starter which came quite worryingly quickly to the table. It was poorly presented and did not resemble any bhaji I’ve ever eaten before. It was flat like a pancake and very dry (like it was one made earlier in the day). Also rather tasteless, needed a lot of sauce (which we had to ask for) to make it palatable. Politely told the serving waiter this and he explained this is common and that we should have gone for the Pakora - wish he’d have told us this earlier like any decent waiter worth his salt would have done. Alas, we made our way to the main courses, which were plentiful and rather more tasty but not the experience we were hoping for. Totally overpriced and I live in London! They didn’t have the beers that we wanted from the menu explaining (comically) that they don’t get them in as customers just order the Tiger beer (I think) normally. Then why are they on the menu? I’ve had worse curries eaten at worse places, but I’ve also had far better ones eaten at better places for far less than we paid. There also seems to be an ongoing issue with the internet network as we and customers before us had trouble paying using our respective cards. Which is embarrassing and customers should not be put in that position. Just a reasonable tip for the restaurant ,If a customer states something isn’t right (in our case the bhajis) then use some skill in discretion and take them off the bill. It reflects better customer service and attention to quality.

One of the worst curries we have ever had! Ordered a chicken bhuna, mixed tandoori starter, meat samosa, garlic naan and popadums.. ÂŁ33. The curry was a cream colour and tasted of almonds?? ( not how a bhuna should look or taste) the tandoori starter had some sort of sauce on it (awful) nothing like tandoori chicken, shish should taste. We both had one bite and binned the lot!! We will never order from here again! Stay clear! Only gave it 1 star as I couldn't post otherwise!

Really enjoy the food, we’ve tried so many different dishes from this restaurant and never let us down! Highly recommended
