Just back home after spending a 2 night stay in this Hotel. We where made to feel so welcome when we arrived. Our room was a good size and at the front of the Hotel so we had a sea View. I must say that the cleaners should get a pay rise as everywhere was spotless. We had dinner on the 1st night and it was was the best roast beef we ever had. Every room downstairs had a roaring fire which was lovely to see and feel in this beautiful old fashioned Hotel. The only fault we had was our room was cold when we arrived. The staff were all so friendly and happy in their work. We will look forward to visiting again.

Booked for a meal in the coachhouse, was looking forward to a steak meal.Arrived at shortly after 6pm. Unfortunately it was cold at our table, table by the fire would have been lovely, radiator behind us was off.Light above us had a fault and was blinking on and off like a disco.I ordered a soup for the kids and myself to warm us up. Soup came before cutlery, had to ask for mine to be reheated. No wheaten or roll came with soup I had to ask for some.Quite a long wait for the main, had to ask for it to be checked on.The steaks for myself and wife came before the kids meals.Had to ask for steak knives, salt and sauce for the kids meal. Please do note the steak was beautiful both cooked exactly as asked and I cant fault the quality of mains.Slow service, cold atmosphere were disappointing and not like previous visits. I'm sure current situations have had its difficultly with staffing etc.I look forward to returning again as the steak was lovely and I'm sure service will return to usual standard again soon.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in early December 2021 as part of a large family group. We had a brilliant time catching up and having a laugh by the roaring fire in the Churchill Room. The food at dinner was lovely and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Couldn't have been better. All our needs from check in to check out were well catered for. Well done and thank you.

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime for a meal with my family (husband, 3 year old and 8 month old).... beautiful food that catered to all our needs. Great service and comfortable surroundings. Highly recommended

We came here for dinner and it couldn’t have been more amazing! The starters pork belly and arancini were absolutely delicious and the mains were fab as well, we were really impressed with the food and the service and we’ll definitely come here again ☺️

Lovely atmosphere in this hotel which I have been going to since I was a child. Called in today for a coffee and received very friendly service. Prices very reasonable and warm real fires glowing. Will be back soon. Carnlough wouldn't be the same without this wonderful place.

Me and my wife stayed here over the bank Holiday weekend, which was the first week that the hotel had opened again. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were so friendly and couldn't be any more helpful. We stayed in the coastal room which the wife chose, I think was one of the best decorated rooms. We also ate in the restaurant 2 nights and had 2 breakfasts, the food was delicious and could not be faulted. The hotel is decorated and furnished in an older style and we would def recommend it.

Stayed in this Hotel recently, to be honest I was a little disappointed with the decor. I know they want to keep the hotel in the older style but when lockdown was in place some work could have been done to tidy the dining areas up. A lick of paint would have helped plus our room was so warm in June the heating was on and we couldn't sleep. Had to change room on the 3rd night to get some sleep. So don't go for room 206.
