The Elk Bistro & Wine Bar in Magherafelt

Don't believe the signs.I'd brought my retired mum to visit her Dad grave on his hundredth birthday so wanted to stop somewhere local for some food drink and perhaps to talk to locals to see if her uncles' families were still local.Despite the copious signage it isn't open daily from 12pm. Its shut in the week other than for functions according staff. The garden was large and looks like it might be quite nice in the sunshine when open. Also dont take staff advice on other pubs as the one we were directed is also shut.

Went for food here with the family on Sunday evening. The food was delicious.

Quite poor honestly. Place is falling apart and the food is below average.

Great bit if greed on display when the elk rammed way to many people in the other night and now there are 170 covid cases.

Very friendly staff, place is spotless. Very good selection of food on offer and reasonably priced. Food itself was gorgeous and we really enjoyed it, nicest caesar salad I have had in a long time.

Only been to restaurant but good food, lovely decor. On main road Belfast to Derry. Always a safe bet for food. Reasonably priced too. Salt n Chilli chops at amazing. Elk tower chicken great too
