We tried to have lunch on 3rd March, as it had been highly recommended. Unfortunately it seemed to be closed, although the side door was open. Will try again, as our friends had enjoyed delicious soup and open prawn sandwiches

A quaint bar nestled in the coastal village of Cushendun. Come here for some good food, criac, and the Game of Thrones door. Thoroughly recommend.

Nice little bar, good food and nice pints. Not dog friendly due to serving food indoors. Outdoor seating and beer garden during the summer is always buzzing. Worth a stop

Great food, fantastic drink and a cheerful, warm welcome. Fabulous. The outdoor covered beer garden, with heaters and freshly cooked pizza was a brilliant surprise. Definitely worth a visit 💕

For such a small village this pub is very good. The little black door restaurant which is upstairs is excellent. The food was top-notch, the dining room was roomy, well organised, and well laid out. The waiting staff were commendable.

We mainly came here to see the very last door for Game of Thrones door as when we came in 2018 this place was closed and the village looked deserted. I was delighted to get my last stamp for my book. I wasn't expecting much inside the pub, I thought it be small inside and snug and cosy. I was taken back as it was a bit bigger than I expected and had a beer garden which I wasn't expecting and it was a pleasant surprise. For a place so far out it was very busy. We sat in the beer garden which was stunning as the weather was fab, until there was a table ready for food. I wouldn't eat food in the beer garden as the tables are only really for drinks or small snacks and not pretty comfortable to eat out there as tables are small. When we got our menus and I looked through what was on offer, the menu was similar to many other pubs. Didn't have any expectations when it came to the food. I ordered the scampi and my husband had the burger. My scampi was just divine and well presented and the chips were gorgeous. You could tell the chef enjoyed what he/she does as the scampi were very fresh and you could tell the batter was put on fresh and not thrown together. My husband really enjoyed his burger and it was presented really nice as well. It made change having fresh ingredients used to it full potential and a chef who has passion for cooking and it showed in the food. If you want simple food that not this fancy fair , I would so recommend Mary Mc Brides as you know what you are getting and it's done to a very high standard and from the village you have many options for a stunning drive after you have eaten. Well worth going to and I wouldn't of found this gem only for doing the game of thrones doors. Well worth a visit and we'll worth every penny I spent while there.

Atmospheric pub in the pretty little village of Cushendun, and a perfect stop for lunch along the spectacular Causeway Coastal Route. Their Loaded Fries are perfect with a pint of Guinness.

Visited as part of a family trip and it was lovely to enjoy a drink by the river . Social distancing used at this pub and the set up is done very well. Didn't get the chance to try any food as they were booked out until nearly 9pm so I would suggest booking early. Cheap enough pub also.

Went for a late Sunday lunch around 3pm with a group of friends. The bar was busy, but the friendly and accommodating staff found us a table quickly. Four of us had the Sunday Roast lunch, the other had a Guinness pie, all washed down with a perfect pint of Guinness, whilst listening to the live music from a local duo. Welcoming and warm, the food was tasty and the staff were amazing. Hope to visit again soon.
