The Giant's Barn in Moyle

Stopped here with a scheduled bus tour. I had the seafood chowder which I gave 6/10. Would have been more had the portion not been so tiny. My wife had the chicken curry which she also gave 6/10 ( English style so do not expect to be blown away).All in all okay. My only beef was that they ask if you’d like bread / naan with your meal (as if to say it’s included) and then have the audacity to charge you for it at the till. When I questioned a member of staff about this, I was told, “well it doesn’t say it’s included on the menu”!I further inquired where the price of the bread is as it’s nowhere to be seen on the menu. I was advised, that’s the price of the homemade bread is by the till. So you basically don’t really see this until after you’ve paid for your meal!The price of the naan bread, I must point out is not displayed anywhere. A very sneaky business practice considering the amount of footfall they get from tourist buses. Advice to management - stop misleading customers and be honest by pointing out there is an extra cost if you’d like bread / naan with the meal. Also display this on the menu so it’s clear for all to see so that an informed decision can be made.

It's true that this place is pricey, and your tour bus will stop here. It's about the only place to eat at the causeway. However they are super efficient at moving people through quickly and the food was quite delicious. The smoked salmon sandwich and sweet potato soup, highly recommend. Clean restrooms, and lots of outdoor seating with lovely views.

I have a delightful experience at this cafe. Staff couldn't be more helpful and pleasant. Even gave my pet a bowl of water while I was waiting for my order. Food wise, I had one of the better Caesar Salads up to now. The dressing was perfect as was portion side.

genuine home cooked Irish stew, fabulous service .... including my silly question "what ice cream do you have ?" for they were displayed in front of me 🤣🤣thank you again ... great lunch

A great place to stop and eat when visiting the Giant's Causeway. Excellent fresh seafood chowder and other dishes. Enjoy a rest and a hearty meal before hiking the Causeway.

Obviously has a deal going on with the tour buses. Very limited menu and prices extortionate for the amount of food you get. I also ordered a Bailey's and it was certainly not a genuine Bailey's, it was one of the cheaper brands they sell at Bailey's prices. They even take the glass into the kitchen to pour it so we don't see 🙈Staff were friendly but they heckle diners to buy more.

Look, it's a road stop. The menu is simple but good and the staff are friendly. This is in northern Ireland but it takes euros and pounds. It's clearly a place for bus tours to drop off tourists for a quick bite either before or after seeing the giant's causeway.

Food here was not the best Irish food I've had but when you haven't eaten for a while it certainly hit the spot. The seafood chowder was very treat but besides a small shrimp I didn't find a lot of seafood in it. The soda bread was very good. I also got a dessert I first thought was a strawberry shortcake, but ended up being almost like cotton candy for the cake part. Kind of a weird texture but still treated good.

Lovely lunch of roast beef, lovely Irish stew choice of six main courses and also deserts. Very friendly staff and helpful if your lost and looking for the best places to visit just ask. would recommend to all good price to and nice atmosphere at the Giants Barn.
