I stayed here with my elderly parents (divorced but friends) for 6 nights Aug 2021. It is a beautiful place and was beautifully quiet, clean and well organised. Patricia was an amazing host - kind and so helpful. She really went the extra mile for us in all sorts of ways.

Dropped by today and bought home grown potatoes, leeks and yellow onions. The soup I made with these fresh locally grown vegetables was 10 stars.

·

Beautiful little coffee shop, with such a homely vibe. Homemade baked are so tasty & the fire was on when we visited.

·

Top quality and locally sourced food in the farm shop, very tasty lunch and pastries in the cafe :)

·

One of my favourite places. Beautiful food and delicious cakes.

Booked my kids and friend with the riding centre to have go at pony trekking for a birthday treat. Meanwhile I managed to sneak in a lovely coffee from their cafe. The kids really enjoyed it, the staff were super friendly and the ponies were very well behaved. Also the organic shop is really well stocked. I'm looking forward to eating my purchases

What can I say?? Well, the butcher is lovely, South African lady who is the most pleasant and cheerful person I’ve ever met. However, the lady owner was particularly unpleasant, had zero manners and made me feel like a nuisance. Shop elsewhere! When I provided feedback, her attitude was blazé and she reckoned we could ‘’both learn from this’’, as she felt the words I used to describe her service were unkind, but in actual fact they were fair and accurate, and without expletives. I won’t be back, and nor will any of my family/in-laws, who’ve used the shop for many years. Disgraceful service. AVOID!!!!!

Fantastic, most delicious home made food in a relaxed atmosphere. I love heading here for scones and coffee when I’m at home. Friendly, welcoming staff.

More than expected: spacious room tastefully decorated and updated from a 200 year old cottage with 3 en suite bedrooms. Our room was on the ground floor. Had a deep bath in a very modern fixtures. Next door is a private library for guests with a cozy Wood stove and tea, coffee, and biscuits for the evening. Beyond the entrance is a tea room with a view of the garden that serves a copious organic breakfast and later serves tea to the public . Supper is also available upon request. Included in the stay is a nice walking path of the grounds that include an ancient mill pond, private garden, and an arbor path across the road displaying the organically cared for farm animals. Vegetarian options are available as well as sustainable self produced goods by the farm and surrounding area. The owner is a gracious hostess who greets you as you drive up with her farm dogs trotting ahead. I stayed in top hotels in Belfast and Trim and this quiet country cottage was the most relaxing and comfortable while only 25 minutes drive from Belfast or 10 minutes to upscale coastal restaurants of the Carrickfergus area.

So amazing! We have probably stayed here a dozen times and what keeps us coming back are the amazing organic breakfasts with local meat from their farm and the great interaction with Patricia and Tom (the owners). They are really friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do, even with our 5 year old daughter and touristy places to visit. We will keep coming back!
