Sleepy Hollow Restaurant in Newtownabbey

Hadn't been there for years, so wondered if the quality would still be up to the mark. Needn't have worried, better than ever! Service first class, ambiance first class, food incredible! We eat out a lot in Glasgow with our son who lives there, Sleepy Hollow is well up there. Guess where our son will be dining when home at Easter? Thank you folks.

Was looking for a dinner spot on my way back to Belfast after a long drive along the north coast, and picked out this highly rated place on Google which was in the middle of nowhere. Thinking I could get a table easily I was surprised to find it packed, but fortunately someone had cancelled and I got to have a most delicious meal. Their carrot & coriander soup came with a chunk of tender beef and was excellent, while their cod was fresh and cooked perfectly. Lovely service as well makes it a 5-star place I highly recommend!

Great experience, what a lovely place, we will come back for sure. The cocktails were good, but the food, the food was amazing, starters, mains, desserts. Everything great, the less positive point was that the sirloin that was not at the same level as the rest, it was perfectly cooked but not the same level of the remainder of the food, the rib eye was great. I really want to go back.

Absolutely awesome. The best restaurant I've been in in the UK since I came from Mexico. Everytime I'm in Northern Ireland, I want to go. The venison was delicious, the sloe gin fizz was lovely, even the cauliflower soup was outstanding with unique treacle wheaten bread. And the plates the meals are served on are so unique and cool! Good price for the quality.

Im gutted as this restaurant came highly recommended. The ambiance and quirky building was lovely as were the staff. The service was a bit slow but the food was extremely diaspointing. Starters were tasteless and although the presentation was nice, all the main courses were over cooked. The fish and pork were actually burnt. Unfortunately I won't be reccomending or returning.

Always a great experience at the Sleepy Hollow. A bit pricey, but 100% worth it, especially the desserts!

Lovely meal, loved the plates. Could do with more lights where you walk in. Food was gorgeous, the man taking the order seemed a little stressed and was slighty abrupt but other than that I was well impressed

Food was delicious, especially 'the soup of the day' we had for our starter. We will be visiting again soon :)

We were here today for my partner's 30th birthday as it's our favourite restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and service was great as always. This place is a hidden gem and I'd give it more stars if I could!
