The Chip Yard in Newtownabbey

Disappointing.... No atmosphere from premises or staff, long wait on order even though I was the only customer in person at the time.... £2.40 for a tiny cartoon of curry sauce😱. Chips unrememberable, portion size average, meal deals overpriced for qunity in comparison to other places... Impulse visit, would not be rushing back.....

Wasted 22 minutes for soggy chips. I've never had a chippy this bad in my life. 😠 Very poor service indeed. It advertised 5.75 for chicken goujons, chips and a can and they charged me £6.50! Menus aren't even updated.

Great fish and chips. But only 4 stars because you forgot my salt n vinegar and my red sauce.

Best fish and chips in Newtownabbey!!!Went here after an appalling meal in a restaurant just before it. Left starving as the food was soo overcooked and fatty we couldn't eat it, however the fish and chips here were great and satisfied 3 happy customers, wish we had of went here first and not wasted £80 on a terrible meal out in Larne

Good sized portions, reasonably priced, friendly staff.

Ordered for my uncle who lives in a care home, when it arrived it was still piping hot and he reported that he thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you so much ,you made his day

Ordered off Uber eats from these people, 45 minutes later they still hadn't showed up with the food, I rang them and they said they spoke to the individual delivering my food and they're almost here. 20 minutes later they still weren't here, I called to cancel my order, they told me they don't know how to process refunds through Uber eats. They also hung up on me because apparently a customer shouldn't be irritated about any of this. I never cursed at them, I never raised my voice and I never disrespected anyone, they took issue with my irritation. Absolutely do not order from these people, they know how to take your money through these apps but don't know how to refund it.

Food is always very good and the staff are very friendly if only they could get your order right! Every time whether ordered by fone or in person its never right. This wk it was juice missing from kids meals. By the time you get home and put the order out you realise theres stuff missing. No one wants to have to go back out again so we r now having to check our order b4 going home! Senseless really just get it right 1st time its very annoying paying for something and not getting it!!

Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I asked for garlic cheese chips and got gravy cheese chips incorrectly. I had to go back and get a swap. Cheese wasn’t melted on chips and fish wasn’t seasoned well. Also, my girlfriend ordered chicken sweet chilli loaded fries and a battered sausage. The chicken was bone dry, tasteless with no seasoning, onions were basically raw, there was a hair on her dish and the battered sausage was too oily. To add, we had to wait 30mins for our food. Worst take away we’ve ever had do not go there.

Great chips, tasty Pastie. Visited on our holiday. Staff friendly, making sure order was what asked for. Opposite Belfast Lough, so sat on a seat and enjoyed our tea.
