Barnacles Chip Shop in Conwy

Came upon this gem of a place. Our haddock was cooked to order and very tasty. The batter was just right and the chips were yummy too.The young men at the counter provided an excellent customer experience. Great value for money. Would highly recommend and visit again.

I've had several meals hear and it has a very good range of vegan and gluten free foods.Staff are very friendly and very accommodating for any dietary needs/restrictions.Good portion sizes and you can bring your dog inside with you while you eat.Would highly recommend you stop in and give them a go or at least get something from their chippy side if you don't have time to sit in

Fantastic service from the moment my valet went in to get tea for me and Mrs Escobar. The guy entertained him by singing 80s songs 🎵 including some that I am considering for our national anthem. The House Martins, Madness, all classics. The price was very reasonable and the food was delicious. Once my official taster had checked it, I scoffed the lot! Brilliant 👏 Thank you Barnacles.

Awesome place for vegan options! Friendly staff and tasty food! I came here when travelling Wales on my own a few months ago, and it made an impact, so this time I recommended it to my Dad! Really enjoyed the vegan jackfruit balti.

Absolutely brilliant fish and chip shop and so much more! Licensed, dog friendly, and Vegan friendly. Perfect place to visit, the staff couldn't have been more attentive, and pleasent. The food was amazing too from the liver and onions, to the vegan burger. 100% worth a visit.

Called in yesterday while we were in town for the afternoon. Barnacles was showing a 4.3 rating and I’d say that’s about right. The staff were great and we offered a choice of tables, choosing one away from the door but close to the counter. The dining area is fairly basic but clean. We took a look at the good varied menu and we all had fish and chips which were served to us piping hot, fresh and were excellent. The pot of tea was perfect for two and finished lunch off nicely. Nice job.

Friendly service , good portions and delicious fish and chips . The curry sauce was divine , and had a beautiful olde school taste about it . Worth a visit . Has great Vegan options also .

Great choice of vegan options for sit in or take away, both healthy and indulgent options. The vegan pancakes were especially good.
