Me and my wife came here last week for a nice meal and it was better than nice, it was superb.Great atmosphere with perfect service and HUGE portions, I was nearly full from the starter alone.Book a table at this great restaurant or you will seriously be missing out, well done to the servers and chef, we will be back

Wonderful restaurant. Cosy warm and friendly. Outstanding service. Superb home cooked food. Not been for a while but the standards remain high and we will be returning. Lovely lady serving who was so friendly and welcoming.

Visited for Valentine's Day. Excellent special menu. Steak was divine. The entire meal of 3 courses was delicious. Never been disappointed at Candles. Always great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. We'll be returning soon.

Went there Saturday night for the first time, will certainly be back. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. The menu had a large selection and I could have certainly ordered one of everything, hard decision to choice. The food was amazing. We will certainly be going back again. Thank you Lynne and Kevin

This is a loverly place for a meal excellent and good size portions. Great customer service. We had set menu and bottle wine of the week. Worth every penny but will ho again. Thank you lovely evening

Great little place down a few steps off the side of the road. Be warned, the food portions are very substantial.Opted for the three course menu which is fantastic value for money. The food was great and didn't have to wait too long between courses.Thank you to the staff for a very enjoyable (if overstuffed a little) meal.

Small and intimate atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was lovely. And the price was very reasonable (3 course meal for £21.95 as of 16th June 2021)

The food is truly second to none. The trout was caught by the owner-chef and was incredibly fresh and deliciously grilled with herbs. The lasagne was full of flavour with tasty beef. The salad is decorated with orange peels, strawberries and grapes and delightfully complemented the main course.The service was the loveliest too with the owner's sister running the front of the house, making every dinner well looked after.
