Very friendly and attentive service throughout the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Excellent setting with superb views up the river valley.Rooms have good facilities and large beds. We booked two rooms with views at the same price. The size of the two rooms was very different with one being 50% bigger than the other and had a sofa along with 2 armchairs. Our bathroom really needed an update with cracked floor tiles and paintwork was below standard.Would score at 4.5 if I could and would stay again if I could select rooms.

We only went for drinks and had planned on having food as part of a different reason for being there. Location was beautiful. No food available despite website advertising lunches and afternoon teas still. Overall pretty disappointing to be honest, the saving grace is the beautiful location.

Lovely big double room. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers for storage. Great shower enclosure plus separate bath. TV plus tea and coffee making facilities. The bar prices however are pricey

Quaint and cosy hotel by the Conwy river. The location is amazing. We took a Riverside room, it had a balcony to the river with great valley and forest views. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Michelle and Mark. Michelle had a lot of inputs on where all we should be visiting. We only had dinner once, and the lamb and posset was nice.

Fabulous location fantastic staff, food was good but we were offered pretty much the same very limited (3 choice)menu every night and i only liked one of the choices. So we wouldn’t recommend for a foodie week-end.

Great experience so far after just one night stay. Perfect host with attention to the details. Food is great and the chef is rightly talented. We are considering to become a regular guest. The views are amazing. The weather in winter is mild and nice. The sound of river is like a music in your ears. We kept the window open during the night. My 4-year son specifically slept very well.

Wonderful setting, very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Loved Mark's personality. Beautiful area. Yes hotel has character therefore not all 'mod cons' and pristine decor - we like hotels with charm and history.Fabulous breakfast.

Just held our sons Christening afternoon tea here. Absolutely amazing location with stunning scenery and backdrop for our photos. Food and cake selection was excellent and plentiful. The staff helped make the day, and were very attentive throughout. The room was laid out lovely with food/drink served quickly. Would like to say a big thank you to all involved. Hghly recommend an afternoon visit for food and drink or stay for a weekends retreat to make the most of the beautifully kept grounds and views.
