James' Fish Bar in Conwy

Sorry to post this but your chips have really gone down hill, ordered 2 portions of chips this time and got home expecting them to be amazing and they were terrible, dry, over cooked. I’ve also ordered meals several times over the past few months and they’ve also been terrible unfortunately, maybe you’ve changed hands but you used to be the best around! Sorry but now you’re bottom of the list :( Please improve back to your old standards ASAP 👍

Good service and excellent food, chips especially were delicious

Ordered 3 rice chips and curry sauce got only rice and curry and paid double what was on the menu for it normally had no problem other than chis to raw understand slightly if its real busy but this is ridiculous no chips half a meal double the price wont use or suggest again 👎👎👎👎

Ordered Salt and Pepper chips and they were gorgeous. Very peppery (black pepper) which is not what S&P chips are normally like but thankfully I love black pepper. The curry sauce was nice albeit a bit slimy 🤔 No marks deducted though 😁 because overall it was a great meal. Shame they don't accept card payments which I find a lot of Chinese takeaways don't for some reason so it meant having to find a cash machine

Waited 33 minutes for chips, sausage and gravy when 5 people that had ordered a lot more then we did were all served and left while we were sat there....

Just try their lunchtime special, sweet and sour chicken balls with fried rice. OMG. Fabulous

Cash only. Brilliant service. We called ahead to enquire about our dietary requirements, they kindly let us know they'd be happy to cook the chips in a separate fryer. Not only was this fab, but the chips were the best chips I've had from a chippy, ever. They were light and fluffy on the inside, yet had a crispy exterior. Would recommend.

Great plaice for fish and chips or chinese take-away. Me and my wife bought chicken and chips and fish and chips, we sat down by the sea and watched the sun go down. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The portions were very generous. Thank you!

Nice chips. Fish was nice, chunky batter. Pies are Holland's pies. Gravy was delightful interesting. It's got a five spice hint or something to it but we couldn't stop dipping our chips in it! Deep umami flavour with curious seasonings. Nice!

Amazing food and absolutely amazing customer service, have been there since i can remember and the food has always been good quality and very tasty. Highly recommended if you are in the area and hungry. Even after moving 15 miles away we still come here for food when we have the chance
