Wow!! What a fantastic place to eat. The staff were really lovely and the food was amazing, especially the garlic bread!

Both had lovely mains but both also agree you don't get much for your money, we ordered a cannelloni and a butternut squash linguine which I thought was such a nice change from the usual veggie options(mushrooms, aubergine) however the side dish portion sizes were laughable for £3.95 each. Please see below picture, for 3 slices cut off the end of a baguette coated in butter and toasted over a candle. The side of veg was half the size of the ones in other pictures. We were really excited for desert but decided on a mcflurry instead, if the sides had been bigger or cost less we would of happily paid for dessert (£6ish each)We chose not to complain, as it wouldnt of been fair to say anything to the young waiter as he was lovely and did his job well. Wouldn't go back purely because of the portion sizes and value for money

A lovely Italian restaurant. We went on Xmas Eve and whilst the place was tragically quiet (thanks covid!) the food was tasty and the service flawless. Even the Christmas crackers were very high quality ones! I had the chicken Parma which was a much higher quality chicken breast than the usual schnitzel that many places base it on.

Not Italian in any way other than the very mediocre food., I guess you can serve spaghetti and pizzas and you can call it an Italian restaurant..its better from a supermarket, the atmosphere is flat, the staff are pleasant. We spent over £200 on a birthday but it was embarrassing poor quality food

Good service. Good food. Very varied Menu. Spotless premises (lovely bathrooms). Enjoyed all of our dishes (from a shared starter, mains to sweets, coffees & liquors). Piping hot pastas'! We haven't been in the restaurant for approx' 5yrs: hoping not to leave it so long, until next time. Many Thanks M.T-Morgan 19/08/21.

Same menu as previous visit and no specials which was disappointing.Very nice food overall basic Italian recipes a bit like supper with mama as the restaurant name suggests.Attentive staff and reasonable prices.A not so bad house red too!Not to mention very clean well kept amenities.

There's nothing particularly bad here, but nothing amazing either. We love independent small restaurants as it where the best food comes from but just not on par here. I can see why there are so many good reviews so don't let this one put you off but just not one for us to return to. I cannot comment on this one compared to others in the area as we are not locals. It's a nice restaurant with friendly staff and nice Italian background music. Some staff seem a little inexperienced but all was served well. The starters were lovely, cheesy bread was nice with plenty to share and battered mushrooms and cheese, could have had a few more of those though, they were tasty. The mains were small and I'm not a big guy. They seemed smaller than some of the other reviewers photos and being very honest were not great. We have eaten at lots of Italian restaurants as its our favourite food but didn't enjoy the mains here, its not terrible but not amazing.I had the carbonara, that was OK, the pasta did not taste fresh, I suspect its shop bought but happy to be proven wrong. The meatballs were very oily, we were left with a puddle of oil in the bowl, same issue with the pasta I suspect being shop bought, the meatballs were OK but again nothing special.Desserts were OK, but again seem shop bought ad not made in house. As said its all OK, but the price is a little high for the quality, around £65 for 2 starters, 3 mains, 2 desserts and a round of soft drinks.Overall its OK but don't expect high quality or big plates.

We first visited here 4 years ago and said we would always return. Today we did just that and wow it was still as good as we remembered. Fantastic food great chilled environment and wonderful waitress. We will definitely be returning again!
