Hotel was lovely. Bedrooms were superb, comfy bed and lots of 'little extras' such as nespresso, chocolate and toiletries including bath robes and slippers. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Because of the age of the hotel it is not ideal for people with mobility problems.

Fantastic service. We booked for one night as a last minute get away and we would definitely recommend! The hotel is gorgeous, the food was amazing and the room itself was very clean. I used to work in housekeeping myself and the room we had was spotless.Great customer service from Shannen from housekeeping , very helpful.Would highly recommend a visit.

We often visit Conwy as it’s just a 30 min drive from home. It’s always an uplifting experience with so much to do and see and this usually includes a coffee somewhere and perhaps a bite to eat. We’ve stayed at The Castle and eaten here a couple of times too so, with it being a family birthday we thought we’d enjoy a tasty lunch out. We like that the lovely staff wear a uniform and looked smart. For us, being warmly and politely greeted by a smartly dressed person before be seated is nice, and offers a great start to any occasion. We chose the bar restaurant. The menu is a fairly simple affair but with enough choice for everyone. We both had a starter and main course with a drink and was all very nice, served on warmed plates. It was quite busy for a Monday lunch which was great to see and we were happy to pay for the inclusive service tip.We followed up our lunch with a walk around town before returning home. Very nice!

Just come back from a 2 night stay here. Superb location, on site parking, great service on check in, room was spacious and clean. Food was great and its dog friendly too and staff are very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Just attended a buffet lunch. Lovely room, staff very good, sandwiches well presented but cold and damp, lovely selection of cakes. Certainly well sized portions. Would come back for evening meal.

Nice restaurant with consistently good food. Parking out front is restricted to 60 minutes, so best to park somewhere else. No baby changing facilities and there are a couple of steps to access the building which could make wheelchair access difficult. Some rooms are much nicer than others to eat in - the bar is lovely and cosy. I would recommend asking for a table there. Unfortunately, in the lounge we couldn't help but notice a big mouldy patch on the ceiling.I would appreciate being given the chance to add a tip myself if I want to when given the card machine. Didn't much like a 10% service charge being added automatically.

Went for afternoon tea. Was taken to a table with 3 settings when there was 4 of us. Reminded them that 2 were vegetarianThis was a surprise to the person in the kitchen Cakes were nothing like the photos on the web site . I imagine that they were brought from the local spar shop and put on a plate. Were not made particulary welcome. Only good thing was there was plenty of tea.

Very comfortable and welcoming hotel. Lovely building with lots of character and nicely furnished rooms, each have their own style. Good choice of breakfast, continental/full. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely like to return.

We stayed 1 night, staff were friendly, nice touch to give fresh milk for tea in the room, much better than UHT! milk.A couple of things let it down, the nespresso machine hadn't been cleaned so was smelly of sour milk, and behind the bed hadn't been cleaned, as item of underwear from previous guest was still there.Free standing Bath was a lovely luxurious touch. Nice products in the shower room.We didn't eat here. The bar area and restaurant look nice. It's a lovely old building room was good size and comfortable.
