Went on a busy Saturday night around 6.30 and was lucky to get a table outside for dinner. Definitely felt like more of a drinking spot but the soundproofing of doors to the outside tables worked a treat.Erskine Arms used to be a regular stop off over the years for a pub meal but most recently can’t help feel it’s dropped the standards. Went with the burger and just left feeling disappointed and wishing I went elsewhere. Firstly, the burger tasted like a cheap supermarket patty. Then the bun was some sort of seed ridden whole grain toasted flat bread instead of a more traditional bun. Then again the menu simply states “toasted bun”, not brioche or anything. Understandably they’ve left the word cardboard out of the menu description! Thankfully the cheese and chutney managed to rescue the whole dry nature of the bun with burger - but no one chooses a burger to enjoy the taste of cheese and onion chutney. To cap things off, they charge £15. No amount of chunky chips and coleslaw can justify that in my opinion. Some homemade relish on the side would have been nice, but no. Everything was well prepared and fresh but it’s difficult to see past the fundamentals. Mediocre. On the other hand, good selection of drinks on offer and very fast service with our mains arriving in 20 minutes. Only hiccup being salad cream being given to us in a ramekin instead of Mayo. Wading through the Saturday night crowd was something I was unprepared to do on this occasion just for some mayo from the bar staff.Regrettably I’ll be choosing elsewhere for my pub meals in Conwy. Still tempted to go back for an afternoon pint and side of onion rings though!!

I speak on behalf of our group of six when I say that the quality of venue and service at the Erskine Arms is outstanding. Our first visit but certainly not our last. The staff were excellent especially Melissa the young waitress and Ben Jones the GM, although all staff were clearly well trained polite and helpful. Enjoyed by all! Looking forward to our next visit.

Had a craft beer by a roaring fire after a day sightseeing. Enjoyed it so much we booked a table for later in the evening. Delicious fresh seafood and lovely attentive staff who genuinely cared about our dining experience. Great cosy pub with fab staff and amazing food. Will visit again if we are in the area.

Just want to say a big thank you to The Erskine for making our mum and dad's 60th anniversary meal so special! Manager and staff were so kind and went out if their way for us. Food was absolutely delicious, so fesh!! Best we've had in ages!! Will definitely be visiting again😁 Lynn peel

Visited this restaurant number of times now. Lovely atmosphere, great food and very good service by all. We stayed in a room at 'Y Capel ', at the back of the Erskine. The room was lovely - characterful, clean and very comfortable. Has its own private car park which is a big advantage. We'll certainly be coming back again soon 👍

Quality food served by attentive staff in a pleasant pub environment. Even with a limited lunch menu there was still a good choice and food was served quickly and was freshly prepared. Prices mid range but worth it for nice food.

Three of us dined for dinner under Welsh Covid rules. One of the party had Oggie Pie which was too sweet, just wasn't enjoyed maybe just not to their taste. I had the seafood pasta dish which was delicious. The restaurant followed the covid rules and felt very safe, service was good. Ambiance was quiet due to social distancing of the tables and it being New Year's Day. Would recommend and visit again.

Firstly, i would like to say that under normal circumstances I would rather leave no review than a one star review; however my experience at the Erskine Arms is the exception to this rule:I would like to say that the food and service was a pleasant and enjoyable experience.and am more than happy to appreciate thisHowever, this was totally wiped out by the attitude and focus on customer service by the management team... I have never seen or experienced such disrespectful attitude to a customer and their guests by a Manager in many a year.I will now be making it my project to ensure that the experience my guests and I had will never be repeated and ensure that a negative approach to visiting the Erskine Arms is avoided.I would like to say that we had visited alternative places in Conwy that knew how to provide exemplary customer service, for example;Castle hotel - amazing staff and superb customer serviceBank of Conwy - superb service

We have stayed here a few times now and the rooms are nicely appointed, with quality fittings, comfortable beds and furniture. The shower is lovely, power shower, with nice warm towel rail. The breakfast is really good, all freshly cooked to order, using quality, local ingredients. Book ahead to eat dinner as its popular, again food is very good, staff are Friendly and helpful. Thanks everyone we will be back!

Only popped in for a pint but the beer was good. Staff were really friendly. Small cute garden out the back with heaters too. Can't see the castle from the garden but still a lush place. Food looked good but I didn't eat.
