Dog friendly in all areas inside and out, great food and service. The pub itself is steeped in history and is beautiful inside. We had light bite lunch, which was lovely and a good price. We will be back if in this area again for holidays.

Had lunch here. Friendly chatty barman gave us choice where to sit. Liked the atmosphere and decor, has lots of old charm and timber beams give it a good feel. Food was fine too. Nice place to stop off and close to the beach.

Great character pub. Very friendly bar staff and excellent quality food. The fish and chips were perfectly cooked. Nice selection of ales. An ideal choice for families and couples of all ages. Will definitely be visiting again.

Really friendly staff and a lovely cosy pub. Food is basic homemade pub grub, tasty, huge portions and good value for money. Good kids menu and a mini golf outside the pub. This bit is quite expensive though as you pay per person, I think it was £5 for adults £3 for children.

Lovely pub we were staying at a local bed and breakfast. Great Sunday roast with lots of lovely vegetables. We had the smaller portions but there was plenty of food on the plate. Very welcoming and good selection of beers. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going again when in the area.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. A decent selection of drinks, but San Miguel is not the best lager IMHO these days. Food is reasonably good and portions are generous, however I would welcome quality over quantity, for example using mozzarella on the pizza instead of cheddar or less chips but more alternatives. Dog friendly and accommodating with a roaring fire in winter. Beautiful wooden entrance and staircase add a historical wow on arrival.

Travelled 130 miles.Wanted a drink. Knew the pub was here. What I wasn't expecting was such a warm welcome by the bloke behind the bar. A proper old school welcome, which was very refreshing in this day and age. Made our visit much more pleasant. Thank you.Although wasn't staying for food, what was coming out of the kitchen looked good. Next time mr landlord!Definitely recommend.

First time being able to sit outside to have a drink this year and it was lovely!! Very peaceful and welcoming! The bar lady was lovely bringing out a couple of treats for our very excited little boy! Will definitely call again, could have sat outside all day :)

Sadly this review is not a great one but I like to be honest. I'll start with the good point's its a beautiful cosy bar restaurant with good old character, it has good seating area's inside and out is family friendly and dog friendly. The bad point's for me was the customer service seemed inpatient and not so friendly but the worst was the food I couldn't taste the beef roast dinner only salt I could taste and it was a very cold meal for me and my daughter so it seemed a waste of money.I'll go again for drinks and a game of crazy golf only because I like the charm of the building nothing more.

Lovely traditional pub, beautiful food with lots of choices for veggies too. Very dog friendly with water bowls and biscuits for the furry family and lovely service.
