The food was delicious. I had sirloin steak and it was cooked exactly as I requested (medium rare) which doesn't happen often. The service was good and the staff really helpful and friendly. I would recommend it.

We are regulars, here pretty much every week, we drive 50mins to this establishment, its that good!Me and partner always go for mushrooms and prawn cocktail for a starter, the portions are huge, and quite frankly the best you will taste, mushrooms are to die for.For mains, always mixed meat roast, and belly pork roast, which comes out on huge plates, and so tasty, the belly pork in particular is cooked to perfection.The staff are absolutely brilliant, John the Owner checks in on you, which in my opinion goes a long way, and Tesni the bar manager is a little gem, so on it, and brilliant at what she does.We're so happy we found this place, absolutely perfect

Excellent value. One of the few eateries the doesn't sacrifice quantity for quality. Good quality portions that are tasty. The beef the beef it's good enough for the chief, although the visit was brief, I think the bartender was called Keef.

A beautiful place to stay! Fabulous room with immaculate en-suite containing everything. A warm welcome on our arrival and greeting us by name every morning, with regular reminders to ask for anything we might need. It might seem silly to say but they were just too generous! We enjoyed two evening meals and two breakfasts... each dish was delicious but portions were enormous!

Loved our dinner! We got there just as serving was ending and they kindly feed us and didn't rush us along. My meal was massive and superb, I couldn't have left happier than I did😍

Me and my wife went for dinner here and wow oh wow it was amazing! It was a few weeks ago now, but I cannot day how amazing the food was and the service offered by the staff! My only regret, is that I couldn't finish that dinner try as I might! Amazing!

We had a wonderful two night stay here. John and his team were very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable with a large modern bathroom. The cooked breakfast was delicious, and we ate in the restaurant both evenings - be warned, the portion sizes are very generous! There is a beautiful old bridge beside the pub and we went for a lovely walk along the river.

Fabulous pub food. The kids had burger meals, other half had a cheeseburger and I had the chicken and bacon. All really well, generous portions with good quality ingredients and lots of flavour.Really loved it and will be back.

We had a lovely meal here yesterday. When booking I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday. On arrival there was a card waiting for her on the table a lovely touch. My wife had the fillet steak and I had the steak and ale pie. The portions are very generous and the chunky chips were to die for. The staff are very attentive and the service was second to none. We will definitely return.

Beautifully clean beautiful food. Recently moved to this area and took my sister and brother to dine here. 1st time we had been here but definitely not the last. Excellent vegetarian menu
