The Coal Shack Dine In in Conwy

Don't be fooled by the slightly out of the way location - this is a fine dining restaurant. The decor inside is very smart and the cocktails were will made and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the presentation of the main courses and desserts was faultless. So why only 4 stars? Well, if you are aiming for fine dining, with prices to match, everything has to reach that standard. For me, the bread was somewhat underwhelming, and let down the rest of the food. 4 stars is probably a bit harsh and I'd probably have given 4.5 stars if that was an option, but I had to round down or up and rounded down on this occasion. I would still certainly recommend this as a top place to eat in the Conwy area though.

Cannot describe just how amazing Signatures was, highly recommend it to anyone who visits the area. We arrived very early but were able to have a sit down and drink, they even gave us menus to look at and took our order while we were sat drinking. They took us to our table at our reservation time, immediately gave us bread and as soon as we were done cleared the table, moments later they brought our starters. The whole night continued like this, very attentive staff. The food was outstanding, we were lucky to sit near the kitchen and could see the team in there working very efficiently and producing stunning food. Would have happily paid considerably more for the standard of food and service, prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend and we will definitely return when next in the area.

Recommended by our Airbnb host, what a find. Food was superb, especially loved the scallops (better than Heston's 💯 %)Staff friendly but discreet. Happy to talk if you want.Watching the chefs all work together, made me realise how hard it is to run a kitchen let alone one that can work so well together.

Excellent if pricey restaurant, great food and service.

Visited here about a month or two ago. Lovely food that tasted excellent and was well presented. Unfortunately there was no venison left so we had double duck but it didn't matter much. Very nice atmosphere although the lights were flickering a little which was a little uncomfortable for myself but not much can be done about that. The staff were excellent and lovely to chat to. Great place to go for a nice evening out.

Came here for my birthday dinner and the food did not disappoint! We enjoyed everything from the starters to the dessert! The dishes were well presented and full of flavour. Will definitely be coming back again

Absolutely amazing food and excellent service

We visited Signatures a good few months ago but came across these pictures in my phone from our visit which prompted this review.Food, atmosphere and service was brilliant. Adhered to COVID-19 social distancing and cleaning extremely well. Highly Recommended.

Nice modern restaurant with a busy vibe, open kitchen.Delicious starters and main all cooked well probably the best food we have had in 4 days in Llandudno.Worth looking out if in the area don't be put of by being on a caravan park.. its very up market
