What an Amazing place this Rural location is located is, we stumbled up onto it completely @ Random and was pleasantly suprised how Beautiful it was not Just from its surroundings but from the outside and its Centuarys old interior Decor.The staff couldn't Do enough for us, so polite and friendly and the food was exceptional.We will Definitely be returning here again soon what a Gem of a place also would like to say a Big Thank you to Maria the manager who made out visit so pleasant.

This is a great pub. It's survived Covid thank goodness and deserves to. The menus are extensive, a touch above the normal choices. We recently had a groupgo there for a Sunday lunch after a run. We arrived for 2pm to allow the normal trade to go through and we were looked after well. It has a lovely local vibe to the pub too. They start serving early evening which is handy. Also, it's a dog friendlyestablishment. Well done Darryl, the publican and thanks.

Quirky interior, really delicious food in large portions. So glad I didn't attempt a starter! Friendly service.

Me and the Missus went to the Old Stag on Saturday night for a meal as we were staying in a lovely little air b&b about 5 minutes away. We booked the table in advance, and received a swift confirmation back. The lady who served us to our food and drinks was lovely and looked like she was working her socks off. As for the food, it was really really nice and loads of it. Definitely 5 ☆☆☆☆☆.

Excellent old style pub, staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food we had was bang on perfectly cooked and the portions are ample. Will be going back next time we are in the area again. Keep up the great work.

Always a genuinely warm welcome to a pub full of character. A beautiful fire to sit next to, and the most delightful exquisite food every single time. Real ale, too.I love that place.

So warm and welcoming, land lady was so nice, the food was absolutely amazing..We were passing through but now we know the accommodation will be up and running in the near future this will be more that a refueling stop next time.Great job guys, thanks for making us feel at home... see you soon.
