Been here for a drink before and it was ok. Went for Sunday dinner today and it was excellent.Plenty of meat, which was tender, and nice desert too.Would definitely recommend

·

Nice country pub with basic food offerings. Closed on Monday.

·

Lovely location nice and peaceful, great to sit in the beer garden on a sunny day.The lady who served us was super friendly. It's the only pub for a few miles if you're in the area, totally worth one or two miles walk if you get the weather for it.

Food was worst I have had in a long timeNothing was freshly cooked all frozen looked like it was thrown on the plate didn't take card payment had to walk around to local shop to get cash. The only positive was the staff

Felt we were an inconvenience, staff closed the curtains at 22.00 hrs so not sure of the covid restrictions we asked what time was last orders ? 22.50 hrs, we left as we could tell by her attitude she so didn't want us to stay , sad but true

This place is hilariously bad. I took a drive out yesterday with my husband who is disabled and walks with a stick so we don’t get out much, so when we do it’s a treat. Pub was empty (I know why). So we order food and it’s a beautiful day so sit outside. Twenty minutes later someone shouts from inside the pub “Your dinners ready”. What! So I go inside and ask could we eat outside.. response was a very grumpy ‘ I’ve set the table inside we are not use to people eating outside’. So I carry the plates and cutlery outside. We ordered Pie of the day. Steak and Ale. No, it was some cheap steak and kidney from the freezer, rubbery pastry and frozen chips. What on earth are these people thinking. A beautiful setting and a beautiful Pub sadly the Food and Service was beyond bad and in fact I could do nothing but laugh. I thought perhaps it’s a theme pub where you go to be insulted or treated badly. If this is the case You’ve got it spot on! I did not bother to complain for the simple reason they are totally aware of how bad they are and don't care its a simple as that. Also this was a treat for my husband so to get out of this place a soon as possible was my only concern.
