Y Giler Arms in Conwy

Booked a meal for 6 waited over an hour to get served - food awful , steaks mooing when asked for medium to well done. Vegetables looked tinned or reused fish was alleged 8oz but looked like frozen microwave pinged, gammon was like sliced bacon with tinned pineapple and burger was served with cold buns asked for management and they never showed up and embarrassed waitress dealt with it all

Just a fantastic place to stay, surrounded by nature's beauty in the Welsh mountains.Food was beautiful, local produce, the young chef cooked my steak to perfection, the whole team were just wonderful.Friendly, attentive, nothing was too much trouble oh the breakfast was lovely too! Freshly cooked with local produce.Would definitely stay here again.

Great location with lovely mountain views and onsite lake. The newer facilities are immaculate and pub/restaurant onsite serves delicious food and drinks aplenty. Breakfast was also lovely. Close to bus stop that takes you to Betws Y Coed in less than 20 minutes or you can drive in less than 15, but also close to other tourist spots for day trips. We camped with electric hookup and had a great time. Thanks to Ed, family and lovely staff for a brilliant stay. Will definitely return😁

Lovely clean friendly pub. Great food. Very pretty spot in front of a lovely pond. Noticed a nice looking campsite attached.

Very picturesque setting for a lovely little country pub, close to the A5 so easy to find. Friendly and helpful staff made the visit very pleasant. Only went in for drinks and food, so unable to comment on rooms. The bar and restaurant areas are very well presented, and weather permitting there is a decked outside area which has lovely views over the pond in the garden area. Dogs are allowed in the bar area or outside but not in the restaurant, but food can be served in either. I went for the locally sourced rump which was cooked perfectly and very succulent, prices are reasonable and overall a great experience.

We visited the Giler arms on 24.6.22 whilst staying at the attached caravan site. We found all the staff very helpful and attentive. We were a party of five adults and one child. We ordered aMix of starters, main meals and sweets, all of which were served promptly and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was busy and there seemed to be a Mix of visitors and locals dining. The pub and restaurant is a credit to the owners and staff all of which went out of there way to make us feel welcome. The attached caravan site has wanderfull views and is undergoing improvements, new toilet and shower block and glamping units . It is close to many interesting places and attractions, yet set in a very peaceful rural position with great views. M. Woods

The locally sourced rib eye steak is probably the best I’ve ever had. The landlord and staff were so friendly and accommodating. Camping facilities are above average, highly recommended

Visited on a Monday night, it was quiet but bar staff was friendly. I had fish and chips and my partner had mixed grill, great food and at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit

The double bedroom was too small for the double bed, which would suit a single bed. Told owner this.The room was cold, and the heating had turned itself off. This is controlled in the downstairs bar, which no access to as locked upstairs 😳. I had to put clothes back on to keep warm to get some sleep.Told owner this.No cooked breakfast as told chef not arrived to cook. The owner apologised; no reimbursement was offered.Recommend to avoid if possible.The owner offered no part refund.

Great little hotel, rooms very clean and tidy, tea and coffee in the room with a variety of different teas, as well as decaf coffee. good bar and restaurant area. Great views and a large free car park.
