Excellent homemade food, the steak and Guinness pie was bursting with meat and tasted amazing, plenty of chips and peas! My wife had the hunters chicken and couldn't compliment the meal enough. Very friendly staff especially the chef. Great visit all round

Good place to eat and drink , has recently been redecorated , good outdoor space to sit and watch life go by , good menu , function room upstairs ......but beware on hot days in the height of summer , the outdoor space is taken over by the young and thirsty .....generally a good crown , but can be intimidating .But note . Its a special place to be during the international eisteddfod.....have never rented a room

I arrived for food and drinks last night at 6.30pm for the first day of our caravan holiday. We ordered food at approx 6.45 and was told there would be a wait of about 30 minutes as they had a big table of 12 people booked in at 7pm. That was fine and ordered 2 main meals of scampi and burger and planned to have a drink while waiting. Other tables around us that arrived from 7.30pm were served food before our meal finally arrived at 8.15pm. Can’t believe one table of 12 meant no other food was served to other customers. They received their starters and mains before we received our meals despite ordering before they did. Very disappointed with quality of food when it did arrive, deep fried frozen food. The service we received from staff was non existent. Won’t be back ☹️

Very lively place set in a superb place. Booked a room for the night, cosy, nice comfy bed. View from the room amazing, could see all the towns activities. Very helpful, polite staff. Had a great stay ☺️

Sitting out the front in the sun having a few beers was lush. Not too bad for prices on drinks. Can't comment on rooms or service.

Cajun chicken pie was dry, couldn't eat all of the meal but that was my fault as I felt full.Drinks, 2 vodka 1 diet coke, £9.10. 2 vodka £6.60 so a smallBottle of diet coke £2.50 not best price is it.

Took my family here for Sunday dinner 24th April 2022,, and couldn't praise it enough, the food was lovely, portions were big, plenty of thick sliced meat, very rare nowadays, the chef _ John actually came over spent time with us to see what we wanted or thought of every thing, engaged with our family and kids and welcomed us dearly, lady from Burnley sorry I don't know your name was also brilliant with us all and couldn't do enough a very rare and nice touch, good value for money, nice surroundings and very welcoming all round, don't change a thing, will definitely return again, thanks,,,

Only people in the restaurant, yet the it took over 45 minutes to get our food. No mention on the menu that the burgers had onion in them. Had an allergic reaction, told they staff. Women was helpful, but not an offer of anything else or a refund for the food. Just the Chef should there at the till watching. I felt intimidated! One allergic reaction, and intimidation later, definitely won’t be returning.

Decent breakfast. But I think the oil needs changing. Invest in some better quality hash browns. Plum tomatoes and you have me won. Oh and crisp that bacon a bit please. Other than that good.
